Yes, I've kept a beautiful black dress for sentimental reasons. It was the dress I wore to our son's wedding. Sadly I finally had to give it away because I knew it wouldn't fit me unless I lost a lot of weight. Thankfully I know someone else will have a beautiful dress for a special occasion.

It is very easy to look glamorous and like a millionaire in clothes when you are the size of all of the women you use as an example. Why not show an extra large lady who has all of her weight right below her bust. Very hard to look expensive at this size.

What is the point to looking expensive? You're better than someone else because of your clothes?
@uscitizen898Ай бұрын
Totally agree! My biggest issue is being short and not as slim as I used to be. It's very tricky to find clothes that fit properly.
@juliecaron7871Ай бұрын
Very true. I gained over 70 pounds and my silhouette is so different that I cannot dress the same. It is much harder to look chic and elegant (not necessarily expensive, just look together) with the lumps and bumps. Giedre Kavaliunaite has a channel for plus size women to relearn proportions and dress better. I highly suggest her videos!

In my view beige and brown don’t go well with grey and silver hair - even if you’ve got warm skin undertones. I always associate them with my grandma who thought women over 50 should not seek attention at all. Livelier colors - that of course should match the individual skin tone- give a more positive overall impression- in my opinion at least.

I have kept several of my clothes from over 20 years ago. Country Road, David Lawrence, Next and other brands, they are all 100% wool. Cheers Debra xxx

I have two black designer summer dresses from 2018 and I won't give them up. They have signs of wear, but I love them.

Again you hit the mark - each point on target. I'd like to add my personal bonus-tip: no synthetics (actually at any age), especially polyester. Cheap for the pocket, but also cheapens your looks and it's costly for the environment. Suffocates your body and the planet. Pure fossil oil and chemicals. And humanity can't get rid of this stuff for eons: "carefree" fabric, but careless dealing with nature. Double-crime: not classy and harmful.

Oversized clothing just makes you look like you don't know your size. I got a giggle out 'worn out clothes' when people pay hundreds of dollars for pre-ripped jeans. This all about trends and opinion. Wear what makes you happy.

I have no problem with the way I look. I'm breathing. Never understood why people are so freaked out because of age, or how OLD they look. He happy.😁

Important question please. I am a 5' 4 1/2" mature woman with varicose veins in my legs so I often wear pants or mid calf dresses or skirts. I'd like to branch out but am at a loss about my best choices. thank you for this video and your time. BigSur

Oh, yes, I possess a collection of bandanas, scarfs and shawls to which I feel really attached. As they have not been worn daily, they are still in relatively good condition and seem unworn, so it is really hard for me to depart from them, even though some look outdated and do not suit my current garments. Yet, I remember buying them eg on vacation somewhere cool or receiving as a gift from a special person. What shall I do with them?!

Oversized clothing is the safest bet for me to make ppl think I‘m younger than I am. Oversized sweater, ponytail, Sneakers takes 15 years off. 😅

Anything you could wear with black

I was taught you could wear black shoes with navy. The rule was, “shoes look best the same as or darker than the shade of the hem of your garment.” This is an older rule, but I really, still, think it looks best.
@avondalemama4702 ай бұрын
Oh, let me add that, today, women will wear a nude-taupe shoe sometimes with Navy, because it is close to the skin color and considered a neutral. This looks great also. Think Princess Catherine.
