Hi Jenn I’ve been a long term subscriber and I’ve always love your content and to be honest I’m not the type of person to comment at all it’s very rare when I do, but today just hearing you say that a subscriber said you’ve change and it go to you I had to say something. Ever since I been seeing you from the beginning I always was like, jenn deserves to make it big and you did! You have always been real with us and have always introduced us to brands that you like. Change is good. Don't say sorry when you are doing your best. That's just not healthy thing to say. I don't think you are changed, you're achieving new things, gaining more knowledge of everything as day goes by, your are only growing up. If someone criticize about that, first of all, they have no right to say to you (they can think but can't say) but when they do say and hurt your feelings, they'd better make sure they can prove it to you that they are the same people as they were in any time in the past and they stayed the same way under and environment any every phase of they lives. Jenn, you are achieving so many things but still make videos and the qualities are just keep improving!!! Hey Jenn, I will say I was definitely one of those people that was like "ugh damn she's changed a lot she's got a lot of nice things and it's getting really hard to relate to her." And being almost 25 and still living paycheck to paycheck, it can be easy to get petty. But I would be such an idiot if I willingly ignored the fact that you have worked SO DAMN HARD for all of the things that you have and I would be so dumb not to acknowledge that. You have your own clothing brand, you continue to up your game with your video quality/editing, and you are continuing to make ACTIVE CHOICES to better yourself, with therapy and meditation, exercise, and just overall being so dang kind and grateful to those around you. Falling into that "poor me/what about me" mentality has been so easy for me lately and I think this video gave me the right kick in the pants to stop feeling bad for myself and start thinking about what ACTIONS can I take to better myself, rather than just sitting here on my laptop complaining that you have nice shoes now. ***LONG SAPPY POST BUT JENN IF YOU END UP READING THIS HOORAH~~~as a long time fan, I was so surprised that you brought up that people have said you've changed to x, y, and z because I always assumed you didn't care/notice it. I remember in high school you were the epitome of a role model to my fellow Asian-American girlfriends because of who we were at that time. You were the ideal role model to us because of your quirkiness, relateability, and unique taste. Growing older and almost being done with college, things have changed, but in a good way *cue Tame Impala song. To be honest, I was a little bit on the side of the kind of comment you brought up because it made me feel scared and sad that you were becoming so successful, always able to land all these brand deals and potentially morphing into those celebs we see that aren't relatable at all, engulfed in fame and media. Being a high schooler with a minimum wage job didn't matter when I watched your videos in the past, because the things you would mention and recommend were usually affordable and really one of a kind knick-knacks. As a college student now, I found myself feeling a tad bit abandoned, because I don't have the budget to afford your amazing Eggie line, or shop from your bougie Coachella favorites. In my eyes (and maybe other's), it felt like your teenage girl audience was being left behind, and I think that shook a lot of people, me included before this video. However, now that you've expressed your feelings and shed light on the situation--that you're in a whirlwind of stakes to fulfill, have big things resting on your shoulders to achieve, and in analogy form, wish you had more bandwidth--I couldn't help but receive an overwhelmingly relieving sense of understanding and empathy. It felt so good to know that a KZbinr I care about still feels vulnerable and cares so much about what the people who love her think. You gave me a realistic idea of yourself that is completely understandable and easy to accept and cheer on. Your message and authenticity in delivering it to us just cleared up so much (in my mind anyway), and I can't help but love you more and more. Yes, I may not watch your videos for the same reason I did in the past, but I know deep inside you are genuine and try your best to make the best out of your situations, and always try your best to please, no matter how thin you stretch yourself out (TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, PLEASEEEE!!) Bonnie Tran I agree, the items featured aren't as accessible to the average girl as they were when Jenn was younger. I'm super proud that she's successful enough to be able to have sponsors and opportunities to showcase higher end items. It's one thing to give negative comments in discouraging and attacking way, it's the other to give constructive feedback out of love and the desire to help you (Jen) to get better. And I love how you (Bonnie) spoke so lovingly about your concerns. Bonnie your words to her really warms my heart! Being a KZbinr is your career Jen, and there are always things to improve about in a job like this because people have so many different needs and some are just hard to please. But what we see on KZbin is only a small part of your life just like what you said in the video. Some of us love the part you show and some don't, but none truly defines who you are as a whole person. I totally agree. I really looked up to her in high school, and luckily now that I'm in college, I feel like I don't really need that kind of role-model anymore. I sensed the change as well -- and definitely the material aspect of it. She shifted from a familiar, affordable, college sphere to the life of an LA socialite -- steeped in and profiting off of a shallow material culture (probably not through much fault of her own). I just wonder what would have happened if I were still in high school and found her channel now. Would I deem her an acceptable role-model? Would I watch her favorites videos and start to think that I need to accumulate a bunch of high-end stuff just so that I could live a glamorous life like hers? I have to say that the affect that her channel has on these young girls who are just discovering her now might not be the best. Jenn really could be using this channel to help those young girls or make positive change in the world, but I understand why she might not want to. Who wants the title of "Role Model" to be arbitrarily thrust upon them like that? We have to remember that she is human, and that making a career out of KZbin means juggling pressures that may even eclipse the pressures faced by normal celebs. At least normal celebs don't feel as much pressure to connect with their fans on a human level. If I were in Jenn's position, I, too, would probably begin to shut my audience out of my personal life. The older you get, the more you value your privacy, and KZbinrs are stuck in this strange situation where their existence is the commodity. I am such a private person that I would collapse under any semblance of the attention that Jenn receives from complete strangers. So who am I to tell her that she must make a certain kind of content or make an effort to connect with strangers? Who am I to tell her that it is her obligation to play the part of Role Model for all of the young girls who look up to her? Who am I to tell her that she should sacrifice her sanity to make her career into some kind of altruistic crusade? It's her life, her private sphere, and her creative space.

This is a late reply, but I hope you guys also consider how expensive it is to run a brand and everything behind it. Things aren't as cheap as H&M and Forever 21 because it isn't a huge corporation, and there's a team working with Jenn on everything. If anything, if I see her prices drop drastically, I would see THAT as more of a sell out because it would show me that she expanded out to being less involved, and cutting corners like H&M and Forever 21 do. Their business practices for fashion are horrible. And that's the reason why they're "affordable" - at the expense of others.

There has been a lot of you-tubers who have changed but Ive never thought that of you and Ive been watching since 2011! I feel like you’ve handled all the changes youtube has brought to your life gracefully (as far as how you’ve treated your supporters). I feel like you share enough of your life that you are relatable to us, you dont sugarcoat your life which I appreciate. I dont expect you to share your deep dark secrets but you dont lead that your life is perfect and I respect that. You’re real and fair. I love seeing your highs! I totally agree with what most already wrote: Change is good and natural and it is very plausible that to many of your old viewers, you now seem a little less relatable than before due to your success. However, that is a feeling that is just projected onto you instead of originating from the way your content is made nowadays. Your bubbly personality shines through just as much as it did in the old days (I have been here since 2012). I actually think, you have become so much more confident and inspiring through the way you open up to your viewership about your struggles. That is something all of us young adults are going through. Now for some constructive criticism: I would agree that I the purely fashion-related content has gotten less. With that I mean eclectic mixes of all kinds of brands and not just the Eggie lookbooks. I lived for your straight-to-the-point videos and style ideas (thrifted or not), and I have to admit I am missing those and the quantity you used to publish them at. But that is just my personal preference. You are, after all, a business woman and have to create the content the majority wants to see.

People who said you’ve changed are right, because you and all of the normal human beings in the world of course change through time. I think is normal for a person to change or to evolve, grow... call it the way you want, but it's the most normal thing in life. I think people take it too seriously because you're out there and there is exposure to a certain amount of your life, but really is YOUR life and if you have come so far and become so happy with who you are, then I believe that this so-called "change" can't be bad. As a person who has been followingyou for a while now I think your charisma, talent and taste shine on their own and it surprises me to see people complain about it because to me, you're still you and even if you have sponsors, hey, it's part of the job. I don't feel cheated or hurt if you collab with big or small brands as long as you believe in them. Which btw I have never questioned because it's so obvious that it is part of your work ethics and your sweet personality to be always committed to your viewers and to use good products. Hi Jenn, I've been around since Sarah was still doin clothesencounters with you, and watching you change has been very gratifying as I go through my own evolutions. I know I only get to see glimpses of what you choose to share with us, but from those snapshots I have seen you grow into a much happier, settled person. Seeing you do that has really helped me do that for myself, too. Staying static is an incredible disservice to yourself, and I'm so happy to see you show yourself such radical self-love by embracing yourself at all stages. Iam going to be honest. There are Videos I just can’t relate to (like that revolve Video) BUT I am totally fine with that. I think you are still very genuine and sweet. And you are putting in so much effort to take care of your personal struggles (anxiety etc) and you always try new things and what I like most about you is that you are always willing to learn something new and become a better Person and I really like that. I don’t have a Problem with sponsored videos. Everybody knows youtube is also a Job and we shouldn‘t make a fuzz about sponsored content anymore. I don't mind sponsored videos, but I feel weird only seeing sponsored stuff. It's like sponsored video, sponsored tweet, sponsored ig post.... on the same day (from any youtuber) I don't mean this in a mean-spirited way, but I feel rather bummed seeing videos with expensive make up/stuff. You deserve those luxurious stuff, you've worked hard to have what you have but it would be nice to see something that some of your viewers can recreate/obtain since many of us are college students. Yes we can find similar colors, but the tones/undertones can be different y'know? I feel like that's what many og KZbinrs are lacking. Its almost as if they get stuck in a little bubble and forgot that many of us aren't privileged. I hope you can find time for some more thrifted videos or redo some old challenges like $20 makeup challenge (but maybe like a $30/$40 since prices have gone up 😅. Your quality and editing has improved so much, but I feel like you've been in a comfort zone. Don't be afraid to try new video ideas! I think that's what you need :) you have so much potential, Jenn! Don't forget that!!! Lastly, you DID change, and you have every right to change for the better. Don't let anyone take that away from you.
