I will also go into detail about how you make a tech pack that your manufacturer will understand and will increase the chance that you receive your samples or production faster and better.

Thank you for your knowledge and expertise your helping me so mich in helping me launch my brand and company vision. I use a template because i have minor drawings skills but a template is excellent for me to give to the manufacturer and supplier for fabrics and trim. I also believe with our advancement in the interest there is tons of ways to get things moving in the right direction. My question iswith a template can i utilize arrows to show where i would like the trims mto go and the types of fabric to use in the locations i would like to see then implemented there then use that as a description to the manufacturer and supplier.

I'm working on my tech pack at the moment. Do I need to include the stitching type, thread type, construction like woven/knitted/non-woven and finish? My knowledge on this is limited but I'm trying to learn.

What if you can’t draw well ?

What if you have already chosen your fabric from a company...would the manufacturer order the fabric from that company?

Good question :) It depends on the company... but you can provide them with all the info you have about the fabric and then they can order it... maybe they already know the supplier and can get a better deal then you could. If not they might just order it to help you out... depends on their service level. You can also just order it your self and get it shipped to the manufacturer..but will say unless you are very skilled you might not be as good calculating the consumption of the fabric as the manufacture would... so if was me I would ask the manufacture to order it... and try and insist they do. Even if you have to prepay them a bit to do it.
