Hi Tim, I'm an engineer at Tableau working on Virtual Connections and it's really cool to see your recaps on the new features our team has been working on! Thanks for the clear & informative summary on cloud connectors, and can't wait to see vids of new features we got in the pipeline :)

Absolute pleasure, one of the best features added to the product in a while just wish more people had DMT add on 🙁 so they could enjoy the feature but keep on pushing with the feature set. 💪🏾

Hello Tim, Would you know how to connect Tableau to Salesforce Datorama (Marketing Cloud Intelligence)? I have searched for this information everywhere with no luck. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Tim, I have access to 2022.3 Tableau Server, and when going to Virtual Connections, I can't add more than one. Any ideas? I see it as your 2021.4 VC video.

Strange. As in you can only add a single virtual connection or you can only add a single data source to your virtual connection ?

@@TableauTim I just received an email from the manager of Tableau in the company: "we are currently installed the Virtual Connections only support one database connection per Virtual Connection, which is a limitation that will be removed in our next target upgrade". So it was an internal choice at the moment.

Interesting. I think this decision has moved about but I’ll have a test myself to see if it’s in a beta.

hello! I am a Mac user. I want to connect to a data base that's not public. I thought I could do it using Tableau Bridge but it is not available for Mac. How can I get connected to a database?
@TableauTim Жыл бұрын
Are you using an m1 based Mac? Tableau bridge is only used to connect tableau cloud to data sources. Is that the use case you’re trying to solve for? Run tableau bridge on a Mac to connect tableau cloud to a data source? If it’s simpler and you just want to connect to a data source on your Mac, you can just connect to it directly.
