Cloud Compare 4: Generate DEMs and Contours

In this video you will learn how to use the Cloth Simulation Filter (CSF) tool (algorithm) to extract off-ground points and ground points. Also you will learn to use the 'rasterize' tool to generate a mesh (DEM), export it as raster (GeoTiff), and generate contour lines from ground cloud points. After, you will use the cloud/mesh distaance tool to estimate absolute heights (distance between ground and each off-ground point).

Thank you very much for this tutorial. Could you please explain the part when you selected the display range and then exported ground, sand, etc? Why did you choose those points ranges and how did you find out the exact display ranges for ground?

Podrias tratar con otro tipo de software como Blender o Houdini o Maxon 4

Puedes importar el archivo LAS en Compare y exportarlo como PLY u OBJ para importarlo a blender y, antes de ponerlo en el visor 3D, escalarlo. Tras esto exportarlo como fbx o lo que necesites. Cuenta con que los archivos PLY y OBJ no tienen textura
