UMEP 3: Generating spatial input data (DEM, DSM, CDSM) from a LiDAR point cloud

Hello. Firstly thanks a lot for your videos, they are very instructive. I have a question: I would like to calculate the outdoor thermal comfort for a specific area in Athens, Greece. I have the DSM and DEM files, but not the CDSM. In the DSM file that I have, the trees and buildings are mixed. Is there a way that I can somehow create a CDSM file from that?

A quick question: but the DSM generated from DEM and buildings did not include vegetation (e.g. trees) info. right?

Right, the DSM is only composed by ground and buildings while the CDSM is from ground, buildings and vegetation

@@CarlosBartesaghiKoc but a bit confusing, it’s only here in ur case like that and normally dsm include all surface (buildings and vegetation). Right?

Correct! This is how UMEP refers to DSM DEM and CDSM. The terminology varies for other cases
