@@Soldier3rd It's very sweet. I've always thought that their presence around each other makes them feel at home. Home sweet home you know? Reminds me of my previous gf. She was like Tifa in that she was always supportive and allows me to be me. But during those times, I relapsed into depression, was pretty lost and don't really know who I am and I started closing myself to her. I didn't know how to respond to emotions either. It ended and I was devastated but I understood. Now I'm grateful and working on being better and not distance myself from people to suffer alone. So Cloud and Tifa really resonates with me. Love them haha

@@Lumirayuki It's a possibility, because in the original the same thing happens, only that people have already forgotten it, the game begins with aerith watching the lifestrem and ends when the lifestrem comes out to save the world, At that moment, the beginning aerith's scene appears, which means that she saw everything that would happen or at least part of the future, and that's why she remains waiting for cloud despite the explosions of midgar.

I wasn't much of a fan for Cloud before, (I did think he was likeable in crisis core) but this game made me like him a lot more because of the way he'll pout or make faces without realizing until it gets pointed out by Aerith or Tifa . It was kinda cute and I enjoyed it.

To describe something or someone as just "important" would be "daiji na hito," as in someone or something being objectively important to you, whereas "taisetsu na hito" is something you use for when you have deep emotional connection to someone or something. It's like the difference between someone being "important" to you vs someone being a person you "cherish." Different connotations and nuance. "Taisetsu na hito" is also the phrase Aerith used when referring to Elmyra's husband: Aerith to Elmyra: "Taisetsu na hito ga shinjattayo" (The person you cherish has died). Aerith to Cloud: "Taisetsu na hito desho?" (She's the person you cherish, right?)

English Aerith did an amazing job, i think much better than Japanese Aerith. English Tifa was really amazing like i could feel that strength and leadership in her, but i do really like the softness and femininity and youth of Japanese Tifa. Japanese Cloud was... awesome and i wish they had done a better job with the translations because then ppl could really hear and i suppose see for themselves the relationship he has with Tifa which doesn't get translated over very well in english.

The title of this video is very misleading (and spoiler LOL) "True persona" is a mistranslation from the ultimania, the kanji used is "素" which means "natural" in contradiction with him being weird with Aerith for trying to act too cool

A bad example , in both dialogues there was a real Cloud persona here , his cool fake persona for almost the entire 3rd chapter with Tifa , or when he tries to impress Aerith in Chapter 8 . Here in the dialogue with Aerith was the most real Cloud.That 's the whole point, that she very easily destroys his steep barrier and very quickly
