And so here we are again, after all these years. I know you can't read this anymore, but this video was one of the inspirations to get me into gliding. Right after this video was posted, I visited a gliding club to do a short initiation flight at the end of that season. I loved it :) and I wanted to see the views of the clouds myself some day. This year I subscribed to a gliding club in Belgium and did my first solo last weekend. This is all because of you. I hope one day, when I'm good enough at flying, that I will be able to make epic videos just like you and further inspire others to get to know, love and enjoy this magnificent sport. This channel will not see any new content sadly, but I hope the videos remain online as they are works of art. Greetings to all that have been inspired, and good luck to all that start because of this :)

I am returning to Gliding because his videos are so infectious. I never met him but I feel immense grief for his lost. His lovely daughter features in som films. She will be devastated. My condolences to his wife and family. He was a big character who set a positive example and had an obvious zest for life. Sadly, he ignored his Spirits warning. He recently came down in water, destroying his previous glider.

You have no idea what you are talking about. He flew VFR in VFR-conditions, no IMC. If you don't believe me I can give you a lesson. I'm a flight instructor.

mr3856a often IFR traffic is dangerous too, often they do don't watch out for gliders and other planes when they do cloudbreaking and Land at VFR only airports in IMC Conditions, I don't say IFR pilots r bad pilots but IFR Pilots can be Bad pilots too
