they act like Sephiroth knows everything but his whole downfall started when he thought he was an Ancient, and not just a science experiment combining Human and Alien DNA.

According to one of the actors, they have no knowledge of what goes on in the game. They do their lines and that's it. However, they could know, but they are not telling us. Same with the director's, the fact "they don't know" about the ending is paraphrasing that they do. If they were to tell the interviewer, "Yes, we know the ending". You will have other interviews trying to pry what they know or what they can tell us. You have the speculating KZbinrs who theory craft from what they hear in the interview. It could be quite cold word and someone with a sharp mind or can understand body language will understand, "Oh snap this is how they are going to do the ending". It's the last game. They want it a surprise and that should be the same with the rest of us. If you are spoiled before the game comes out your reactions won't matter. Maybe to some, but not all.
