Not only is his Barrett absolute perfection (no one could do it better), he just happens to be the kind of guy you can't do anything but love. What a great dude! They really managed to assemble a GREAT cast. I know FF7 since the day it originally came out and this cast nailed the roles.

Everyone in the cast is phenomenal but man I hope John gets nominated for best performance at the Game Awards. His acting throughout the game was stellar, but the emotional scenes with Dyne and Myrna were incredible and hearing how John prepped for those moments was beautiful.

This is by far one of the best voice cast for a game in the industry. Both FF7 (OG and Remake trilogy) are masterpieces. Rebirth is GOTY 20024.

Why do people still act like the Remake parts take forever? The first one took a few years because CC2 basicly wasted 2 years and they had to start over development in house, which then only took 2-3 years. And Rebirth only took 3-4 years, which is nothing considering the size of that game and compared to the average 6-7 years of most other AAA games.

Lord…Listening to John’s story almost left me in tears. When it came to watching the original game, I would sometimes say “What’s Barrett’s problem?” Now, after playing Remake and going through Rebirth, I am rooting for him. His moments with Sector 7 getting destroyed and losing Dyne left me sobbing. John has really brought Barret to life and I had decided to call Barret “Papa Bear” because he is wanting to protect those he trusts and loves. Everyone else is also fantastic. I am hoping to hear Cody, John, Britt, Brianna, Max, Suzie, Paul, J Michael, and Matt continue to perform as the characters we have come to love and root for. Their performances are spot on.

All of these actors are very proud for working on FFVII, even when they can not attend events, but Hoechlin is the only who does not even celebrate on his socials the releases of the games. Being positive, I think this may be because of his character role particularly for the remakes, the character knows things, like he knows spoilery stuff. But his silence it’s still hella weird.

I’m really enjoying these games! I’ve been a fan of Brie for years so I’m stoked she voices Aerith, and I knew she would understand how important and meaningful the character is. The other actors also did a phenomenal job as well, with special mention to John who has poured everything into his performance. Because of it Barret went from one of my least favourite characters to one of my favourites.
