I'm a nobody at Smash, but I had the same "approaching problem" with Ultimate Puff Everytime I approached I lost. Eventually, I found the answer was to approach with a wall and slower than my Melee Falco wants to I'm a hold forward guy at heart but I almost quit Ultimate because I couldn't do that anymore, but we had a compromise in the end
