Cloudcroft NM, Climbing out of the desert in Alamogordo(and a brewery)

We follow highway 82 leaving Alamogordo from near White Sands New Mexico. Cloudcroft was used as an escape from the heat for the locals. We start the first of our Dodge off roading adventures.

I didn't see anything about the "Lodge at Cloudcroft". Neat old lodge. Has a golf course. At one time, it was the highest altitude golf course in the U.S. Not sure if that is still true. Also has a ski run up there. It's actually the best part of that area. You can sleep there and discuss the "hauntings" with the staff. LOL. Glad you enjoyed NM.

We accidently found Cloudcroft and had limited time to explore, That area is on our bucket list for spending a lot more time.
