I've never understood the draw of holiday weekend camping. Crowds and noise..no thanks! That's exactly what I am trying to escape. I prefer weekday camping .. when everyone's in school or at work.

Camperman, in camp grounds close to tulsa Oklahoma, it's quiet between 10:00pm and 6am. They enforce it, and the one below the Keystone dam is quiet all the time. Even the kids are respectful !

Glad to hear it Anita. Unfortunately, in my area here in southern California, its usually the crowds looking to drink beer and be on the loud side that fill the campgrounds on the weekends ... especially long holiday weekends. I won't say that everyone has poor camping etiquette ...but in a quiet campground it just takes a few to spoil it for everyone.

Our campground in Tonto National forest was full. Still had people come in....got a site. We are camphost but someone pulled in next to me.... Good grief.😮

wow rusty thought I was in my local Yosmite ...but at least that last area is FREE use camping USA ...woods w football ect.. , hopeful for the kids , maybe 1/2 cell time . Best holidays JP NORcal

I love the Holidays when everyone goes camping, gets so nice and quiet in the city. Now after labor day, it's time for us senior folks to go camping plus the weather cools down. Take care Rusty.
