Wow looks really good and promising. Make sure to mention to add this game to wishlist on steam cause it is a big factor in the steam algorithm about how much they will suggest your game, and do a lot of teasers around the interenet and obviously create a community that will play your game when it just comes out :D anyway good luck with that i am following !

this is an interesting start however, the game feels like its lacking a major theme besides just resource gathering, basic enemy combat and crafting. the art style is pretty generic but I like the unique design of the character. for the devlogs, people wont really care about what keys do what, you can always add key binding as an option in the game. lastly, if you have to fast forward through gathering just a small amount of resources, that will become very annoying very quickly. consider either speeding up resource collection or something else to make that part of the game less boring and repetitious. anyways, those are just my suggestions, do what you want with them and good luck on the game!

first of all I loved the idea of manually picking and being able to throw them, it both adds more realism and a game mechanic where you can use found items to throws certain points to solve puzzles or draw attention of monster away from you etc.

@@davidgumazon I'd say it reminds me more of other survival games. Its cartoony unlike Minecraft and the player view is different than minecraft. The plants and trees act different than minecraft. I get why you could confuse it tho lol.

This looks great, very nice art. Really really good, you must have been working on this for quite a while. This is a really small thing but I think when you pick up an item it should go straight into your quick access toolbar instead of the inventory if you have space. And its obvious this is gonna be optimised for controlled but it might be a good idea to have mouse functionality in the inventory and menus (if you dont already). It must be annoying having so many people sh!t out ideas for you in the comments. Anyway good job I will be watching your devlogs for the foreseeable future :D

I share the same view on items not being auto collected. As you said it takes interaction off the game and in my opinion gives you control on what you want to pick up and what to leave behind, saving you time from putting unwanted items in your inventory and then trying to find them and discard them. The art style of the game looks amazing and i like your take on the genre. Hope to see more soon!

Yeah I'm glad you get it. I think people like auto-pickup for the convenience but quickly forget that it means you're going to pick up a lot of stuff you might not want, and then you have to spend time cleaning out your inventory.

yes i am getting this when it comes out - i already know that. i feel like the game needs some mouse support, maybe you could have a point and click for gathering resources like stardew valley but also some keyboard controls for combat

Feature suggest: be able to collect moss and grow them moss is bae (or maybe just to fix the dirt patch if need be for a full grass area but my idea is to have a cute pet plant), temperature system, little animals here and there, dimmer in forest brighter in places with not many trees, ability to make those kind of tents from native americans if you know what I mean but like with wood and maybe fur from animals i don't wanna hurt animals but gotta find a way to keep warm 😭 if temperature system is implemented conversely the character is a cloud maybe it is not much affect by temperature but gain abilities based on weather or season like if it's humid it can store water or be stronger etc :)
