Thank you a lot for recording that. I'm from France, and you're the first video I've found regarding MK8 Fiesta's headlight removal. Actually in France Philips and Osram have managed to get a legal approval for their LEDs H7 bulbs. In order to be legally ok, I have to download a certificate issued by the manufacturer, and keep it inside the car in case of police control. I've ordered the Philips ones. Let's wait and see!

@@unknown-ps6lg this specific one is very good. No bleeding of the light and a clean cut off when you are facing a wall. Passed it's Mot with them as well. Huge improvement over the Halogens.

Why is there a version with cooling fan and without? I have H7 LEDs from Osram on my Polo (very loud and with a large fan) and would like to test these Auxitos on my Fiesta. Thanks for sharing

I think it is just that technology has got better. I was a bit wary when I first got these because they didn't have the big fan on the back, but they are great. Crisp, White light with a great cut off so you don't blind oncoming traffic. So much better than the Ford original halogen. You won't be disappointed 👍

Great upgrade. I also think a LED light looks better against the white LED of the DRL. I've got a Transit and have looked into using LED bulbs, but I hear conflicting information on the legalities... Apparently an LED bulb will affect the light pattern meaning it'll fail an MOT.

If you get a decent brand, the light pattern will be better than the Halogen. I got a poor one for the full beam on the Ranger (long story as they are the daylight running lights as well) but got new ones coming this weekend. The dipped upgrade on the Ranger was a game changer.

It is an instant MOT failure as the LED was not designed for the housing you have, so scatters light and doesn't put it where you need it fully. You also risk prosecution as unless you tell your insurance company you have modified a safety feature of the car, you are driving uninsured. They will NOT pay out if the vehicle is involved in an accident and you will be prosecuted. It's quite well documented, although those trying to make money from affiliate codes are bound to ignore this important fact!

Illegal to do in the UK unless the car was supplied with LED from the manufacturer when new. Same goes for HID bulbs.

Instant MOT failure and you invalidate your car insurance too. The reason cheap LED bulbs should not be fitted in reflector housings is that the housing is NOT designed for them, so light scatters everywhere. This also happens in projector housings. You can always tell when cheap LEDs are fitted as they don't produce a sharp crisp light with proper cutoff pattern. That is why my LED lights were a £3000 oprional extra! They are miles better than aftermarket ones.

These aren’t reflector housings. You can literally see that they’re projector housings and they look fine. I know some people cheap out but if they buy proper premium ones it’ll be fine.

Did you not watch the video properly? You can clearly see it has projectors and you cannot see the bulb. They are designed for HID and LEDs in projectors and I had a pair of LEDs in the projector dip and main and it passes through 2 MOTs. During the test the MOT tester is not allowed to start dismantle the headlight apart to look for bulbs if it has an E marked or not. The only reason people put LEDs in projectors and dazzle others is simply because they don’t know how to align their lights properly….. or people put cheap LEDs in cars without projectors just sends the light everywhere causing glare to oncoming traffic
