Found this searching with the Way-Back machine, tied a couple and this is still an awesome fly !!! Please make remake a tutorial to introduce our "Modern Tiers" to a real classic. 👍

Nice tie. I’ve taken the design and made what I call a generic nymph. I leave out the crystal flash on the tail and use rooster hackle for the legs. It makes a great stonefly imitation for streams and a dragon fly nymph for lakes and ponds. I also use a 2x long nymph hook with or without a bead. It’s a great searching pattern.
