My favorite memory from KH2 was at the end of Roxas's "summer vacation". I was crying when I first played the game and hearing final words from Roxas "Looks like my summer vacation is... over" and being prompt the Kingdom Hearts 2 logo really made it impactful.

I remember moving away when I was younger. It was painful to say the least. No friends In my new town and my old friends dropping me quicker then the speed of light. One of them I trusted with my ps2 and my copy of KH2. I came back to visit months later to visit and that friend just straight up told me that they have sold it. It was crushing. I went back home broken and betrayed. Then one day I saw an old ps2 and a copy of KH2. I was around 15 at the time so I had to do weeks of side jobs, but I saved up and got they slim ps2 and that dusty copy of KH2. And man..playing that game all over again. Getting lost in the wonder of it all. It just gave me hope that I could connect my heart with others out there. That it wouldn't be easy but worth it in the end. And now as an adult I have connected with so many hearts. And through my trials made friends and bonds that I cherish deeply. That's my greatest Kingdom Hearts memory

I love how everyone in the comments has a sweet memory regarding this game. I love reading all of them. My personal favorite is remembering how carefree I used to be when KH2 came out. All I would worry about was finishing my hw then go straight to playing this game. That carefree child is 22 now, graduated college, got a full time job, and is at a point in life where he's really happy. I'll always hold this series in high regard in my heart. I already own two copies of Kingdom Hearts 3, yet I feel obligated to speak my best memories and share in with these fans. Kingdom Hearts to me isn't just a game, it's a life lesson on how to treat your friends and be a better person. It's an example of the best of humanity. Yes at times it is definitely sappy, but what's wrong with that? Because of that, my favorite moments by far are the ones that touched my heart and stayed with me. Sora's sacrifice. Riku's realization and turn back to the light. Roxas bowing down to his fate. Xion's sacrificial battle. Axel's kamikaze. Maleficent's step in to save Sora. Ven's resolution and belief in his friends. Aqua's last ditch effort, The lingering will's anger. All of these invoked a feeling of heartbreak, yet at the same time showed just how good we as people can be. However the most inspiring thing to me at the end of the day is one simple thing. Sora never hates his enemies. He just wants them to stop hurting people. At the end of the day, he will never hesitate to reach his hand out if he thinks there is even a chance to save them. Sora is my hero, and all I ever hope to become.

I think my fondest memories about Kingdom Hearts comes from those I had the pleasure of sharing the game with. Getting to see my closest friends experience what was one of my favorite games growing up is like nothing else. It's almost like re experiencing the game for the first time again, except there's someone you care about deeply with you to do it with. Kingdom Hearts is really something special.

Im a 15-year-old so i experienced the kh franchise first when i was 13 but i remember that the first day that i played kh1 i dindt liked it a lot but i continued playing and started liking it. When i was in the last boss battle i was underleveled but still i tried all night and finaly i could defeat it. then i closed kh1 and opened kh2 and and started crying at the sanctuarty music and played till the morning. Roxas by far is my favorite character in the entire KH series. Legit name myself him in most games I play because of how big of an impact he has left on me. It would always remind me of my childhood playing KH whether it be on the GBA or PS2. Kingdom Hearts 2 is a huge staple in my life! Cruising around in a skateboard in Twilight Town while “Lazy Afternoons” was playing was such a beautiful experience and that’s the thing that the whole Kingdom Hearts series shares! They all have amazing fantasy worlds with beautiful soundtracks in the background that will surely affect you emotionally. I’ve spent countless hours thinking while listening to “Dearly Beloved” and it’s gotten me through so much. Every kingdom Hearts game is truly a gem and i’ll be lucky enough to make more memories with my future children.

My best memory from a KH Game was playing Kingdom Hearts 1 for the first time in August 2006, it was my first video game I’ve ever played since we were just immigrants and my mom bought a ps2 for my brother and I as welcome presents when we moved to the US. As a 6 year old I thought there’s nothing better than traveling on a cool gummi ship with Donald and Goofy. I related to Sora since I didn’t have my childhood friends anymore and it was like I was living through Sora trying to get my friends back. I remember I got stuck in Hollow Bastion trying to get all the puzzle pieces for the stupid door for a whole month (didn’t have internet to look it up). When I finally did open it I cried because I knew I was close to the end. Kingdom Hearts has a special place in my heart, teaching me to treasure friendships.

I'm crying right now because I have a special connection to Kingdom Hearts. Back than when my sisters and I were younger we used to play Kingdom Hearts everytime together. Definitely when I finished 358/2 Days and seeing the harsh reality behind Roxas's story. I relate a lot to him as a character, and he is even my favorite character. I just remember that story concluding, tears streaming down my face, shaking my head softly left to right and saying "Its just not fair." His entire tale is tragic and it really broke my heart. I've heard he is in KH3...I've got to see what happens next for him! Presently replaying the whole franchise to build up to KH3 as there are entries I've yet to experience. Nearly done with Re:Chain. I'm so stoked for the series finale! :D EDIT - I meant to add that I experienced this at a supremely difficult time in my life. Completing that game was sad, and yet oddly comforting. I was going through a lot and while it may sound bizarre...it felt good not being the only one going through as much of a crisis as Roxas had. The game version of 358/2 Days really conveys Roxas's anguish too. You live his life, as mundane as it may usually be, and you see everything that he wants to preserve. Reading his journals gave so many important thoughts for him. Don't even get me started on the ending. Everytime I listen to Xion's theme it brings tears to my eyes, just remembering what Roxas felt when he was forced to fight and slay his friend. All he wanted was to be himself, lead his own life, and enjoy time with his friends

Honestly, KH is a huge part of my childhood. Whenever my Aunt and Mother were fighting, I'd head into my room and boot up KH1 or KH2. There was a huge stint of time when I was a kid, where I was moving around a ton. Money was hard to come by, and there was a lot of stress around our friend's house where we were staying for a little. But despite all that stress, my family, and our family friends, could always find solace in a fun playthrough of KH2 on the PS2. It was a great, wacky way to calm down. I remember never beating KH1 or KH2 as a little kid, but, as of late, I've been playing a ton of KH games all over again, and finally beating them. Right now I'm even doing a KH2 Critical Run for the first time ever. It's really difficult, but, it's really fun too! I remember always getting my butt handed to me in the World That Never Was. I had to give my mom the controller to do most of it, even just the simple mob fights. Thank god this was before the Final Mix version with Roxas, or I think that would've been the end of my KH2 run haha! Thank you so much for your playlists, by the way. I don't listen to them as much as I should, but, whenever I do stop by, it's always very relaxing and calming. It always helps me to take a moment to just breathe and exist. The 2nd kingdom hearts was by far my favorite, it meant so much to me when I played it for the first time, I think I was a freshman in high school, I connected to Roxas so much more than sora for some reason and I feel so much nostalgia every time I play the first half of the game. Favorite Memory (KH2): This piece of crap boss Sephiroth lol was the bane of my little 12 year old existence. It took me 32 tries to beat him (I counted) and for some reason every time I looked at him I just had to use the bathroom because he was so scary. But don’t worry, that’s not the best part 🙃 the final time I played him I got so scared I pissed myself because his life was down so low and was soooo close to beating him....AND I FINALLY DID beat him. I was so into this fight I didn’t even realized I pissed until after I beat him. My mom gave me a crisp butt whoopin but honestly I felt so accomplished that it was the best but whoopin I ever got. My favorite memory is Kiari's letter. My best friend was moving away and we played both KH1 and KH2 together. She wrote me the letter herself in her own hand and to this day I still live by the "One Sky, One Destiny." Because no matter how far you are from someone, whether physically or mentally, as long as you remember them, they'll always be a part of your heart and when you look up that the sky, you know they're looking up at the same one too.

My favorite KH memory is the day I first got my own copy. I fell in love with the game actually through the manga that a friend lent to me. I didn't have a PS2 yet at the time but I would draw a lot of panels from the manga (It was the first KH2 one, so it was mainly Roxas). I really wanted to play it. When my dad came home from work one day he surprised me with a PS2 + a copy of Kingdom Hearts 2 so I could finally play. He didn't however know a memorycard would be required so I ended up playing literally all night so I could save in the morning after the memorycard I ordered online would come in. I was 100% tired and a complete mess, but it was so worth it. - Only knowing the first KH2 manga beforehand, I was quite shocked and disappointed when it turned out Roxas would only be playable in the prologue, haha. 😂 Still went on to absolutely love the game, and have played every game since, except for KH3.

Kingdom Hearts 1 was actually my first real video game, and as such, the series has always held a special place in my heart. Growing up, I was really sick, to the point that some doctors didn’t expect me to live past my mid-teens, so I didn’t really get much of an emotional connection to anyone in my family. When I was about 8 or so, I snuck out of my home and went to a friend’s place to hang out, even though I wasn’t really supposed to leave my home, due to my illness, and I was looking through his game collection, when I found his copy of KH1. I asked him if I could try it out, and he said sure, and from the moment I saw the opening cinematic, it was like a lightbulb went on in my head. From there, the rest is history. I actually new for the fans of kingdom hearts. But after I played it one by one, I finally understand that Kingdom hearts, makes me cry because of the wonderful story. Right now, I'm at Kingdom hearts 2, and my copies get broken. I'm short on money, but I have decided to not watch the spoiler until I get another way to play it... One thing that makes me realize, that friendship is more wonderful than anything. Without them, you're empty, hollow like nobodies. Other than the relief and sense of accomplishment felt after beating countless of the hardest bosses in the KH games, one moment certainly stands out. Near the end of KH2, Sora's reunion with Kairi and Riku. Sora feels that Riku is the one trapped in Ansem's body, falls to his knees and cries: It's Riku... Riku is here... I looked for you..." "C'mon Sora, you gotta pull it together..." "I looked everywhere for you!" "I didn't want to be found... Not like this..." Wherever Sora went throughout the game, he was filled with hope that Riku would be there too. It really does stress the significance of distance in friendship. Perhaps that's why it's such a special moment to me...

My favourite KH game just had to be KH 2. After playing 358/2 days, the game really takes you on a whole different adventure with Roxas. It shows you all the struggles he had to face, finding himself and his own identity. When we begin KH 2, we get a chance to stay with Roxas a little longer. There's just something about him wanting to live a simple life and wanting to have normal friends that makes players (myself included) like him so much. It's like, Roxas is always so close to Sora, but never ever getting the chance to meet so often and actually bond being halves of each other. KH 2 had a huge impact on how I understood what feelings meant, and goddamn did they do a good job at making you have the feels.

Playing KH on the PS 2. Literally everytime I started up the game the menu music would put a huge smile on my face. The best parts of the games for me was always the music, they always convey so much emotion. I also always had a thing for destiny island and the intro portion. The whole rivalry with Riku and wanting to give the fruit to Kairi. What I enjoyed the most was the difference of how wholesome and peaceful everything was on destiny island and how it all so quickly went to shit (probably the most "scary" moment in a KH game for me was when Sora goes into the hollow tree on the island).

After hours of grueling attempts he vanquished him with the final blow and we were literally standing at this point. All time hype! I know it's most people's go to but for me the end of Roxas' summer vacation was so impactful. KH2 was actually the first game I played in the series (strange I know) but even without context when I saw that title show up I knew that this was are really deep story and couldn't help but feel immense sadness for Roxas' story.

I would watch my two older foster brothers play this game. It was my favorite thing to be a part of. The T.v. was no bigger than a box and for some reason was in the closet on the bottom of the floor. I didn't understand what was going on but I absolutely fell in love with it. 3 years later, I was adopted by another family and I got my first ps2. I remember being so excited to finally play KH and FFX. I remember playing in the dark and actually being scared and wishing that my brothers were there to play with me.

One of my favorite moments in KH was when I beat the hidden gem that was 358/2 days and realized the importance of Sea-salt Ice cream to Roxas and Sora, and just felt the loss of one of the best characters in the franchise. R.I.P. Sion, we miss you.

My best memory of Kingdom Hearts was in KH2 when Roxas had to wake up Sora. I was so heartbroken for the character as he comes to find out he is only Sora’s Nobody and that the world that he has made so much memories in, was all fake and planned to solely wake up Sora. The bittersweet moment when Roxas says his farewells as he awakens Sora will always break a piece of my heart. It was a good memory because I remember the first time I played KH2, I would always start from the beginning again and again after waking up Sora because I didn’t want Roxas’ story to end. As I make my way down to the mansion’s basement, there’s a part of me that hopes it wouldn’t have to end with Roxas disappearing, but of course I would eventually come to the scene and accept the outcome just like Roxas has accepted that his summer vacation is over. Playing Roxas’ story has made me fall in love with the game and how they develop their characters and definitely got me more hooked to the series!

Playing kingdom hearts on the ps2 for the first time for sure. It was the first time I got invested in the game, and my dad and me would switch off. Sometime he would let me skip school because we stayed up all night playing it.

My favorite memory of KH is finally fighting Sephiroth. Being a huge fanboy of FF7, that was everything for me. The battle was so hard, still till this day one of the hardest boss battles ive ever played. I must have died a 1000 times, but once you finally beat him, man theres no better feeling in the world! That Sephiroth fight was Dark Souls before Dark Souls, lol.

Hmm i cant play the third game, but kh2 has a very impactful stamp in my memories but its not because i played the game. My brother whom i only met for the first time when i was 11 (he was tooken away from my mom before i was born) he liked the game too and the first gift he gave me was a kingdom hearts blanket and i loved it so much. I dont talk to him often since he had to move but thats my favorite memory. Its funny how a game can bring two long lost siblings together. Thank you kingdom hearts 💕

Best memory is when Sora confronted Riku in Hollow Bastion and did an awesome speech about how he never needed a weapon, how his heart was strong because of the connections he’d made with his new friends. As cheesy as it sounds, it sure as hell hit home.

My best memory was when I was like 13 and found out that KH has a ps3 version, I was so excited and happy at the same time because I love this game so much. I just watched a KH II lets play and asked my father if we had a ps2 at home, sadly he said no but I found the final mix versions a few days later and almost cried because I was so happy.
