Hi I am from South Africa and I really enjoyed seeing Clovelly apart from seeing pictures in books, not able to travel to other parts of the world. I really enjoy your videos, your comments on sreen make it more intersting as I can then identify with the places, unlike other videos where the person just walks but I dont know the places, there is no commentary which makes it difficult for someone who does not reside in England to know exactly where you are and facts about the place. Once again thank you for your informative videos.

Beautiful place. I went there decades ago, but it was in the summer and it was chaotic, so many people, you just couldn't enjoy the village at all, you had to keep moving all the time going down and then back up as if you stopped to take a photo you annoyed those behind you, it really was not enjoyable, and with all those cobbles my feet ached the following day. Lovely to see it like this.

Very pretty, i have never been to Clovelly but have always wanted to visit, maybe one day! i went to areas nearby on a trip but not here, i feel like the walk down might be a bit easier than the walk back up. I'm a bit surprised there isn't a cliff railway here like there is in Lynton & Lynmouth much easier to hop on one of those back up to the top. I wonder what the people living there do if it ever snows and gets icy on the steep cobbled paths do they sit on the sledge to get to the shops 😀 very nice to visit for a while but not sure i could live there all year round.

Next many years later and it was visitor centre and a charge. Then with the first wife at £5. No not the wife!!! Each time harder to climb back as I got older. Hi Neil, we've been to Cornwall 24 times, and last year was our first time in Devon. We go on holiday to Cornwall twice a year. It's the most beautiful place on earth for us.🤗. We walked to Clovelly and had a delicious cream tea. Lovely little town. The people are so friendly in Cornwall. In contrast to here in Germany. We love it and are going soon, the first time so early in year. We usually go in May and September. In contrast to our first visit 2006, it is very crowded in St. Ives, in fact everywhere. But we walk and enjoy the Coast path. The sea, the waves, what more could you want. Thank you for sharing your wonderful professional videos. I have you discovered and subscribed😃. Greetings fom Germany,

A fabulous place. Just be aware that if you’re travelling from overseas and think how romantic it would be to stay in the hotel at the top of the town, you have to lug your bags down and back (and it is VERY steep ) and, don’t believe the blurb the hotel gives out about “sea views” , you’ll only get them if you stand on the dressing table because the real sea views would have been built out about 100 years ago. The ONLY advantage of actually staying in Clovelly is that you get to explore the place in the morning before it gets cluttered with day trippers.

What ever you do don't use the tourist centre and car park as they will try charge you about £10 each plus per person to access the village. Park back on the entrance road or the one before and walk down the village avoiding the tourist centre. Greed is all it is, a donation would be more respectable to all to keep the place nice and upkeep but the council probably fund that. I went there put of season locals weren't to friendly
