You are absolutely correct about the demo videos. And it is hard to get someone at customer service that a.you can understand and b.that can answer your questions. Our Merchant Service provider gave us the run around on delivery and isn't much help with my questions.

Just received my Clover flex a few days ago. I'm scared now listening to the reviews. Im a small business so i don't want any issues with using this. My hand held POS is good for on the go but whenever i expand to a store front i'll look into other options other than Clover. Hopefully with the Clocer flex i'll be ok for the time being. What do you suggest?

always have password for REFUND or VOID when you have your mjni or flex clover in QUICK ACCESS mode.

You missed a CRITICAL issue with Clover, specifically the new "Duo"... in that it doesn't allow you open tabs

@@paymentspaul3419 I wish that were the case Paul, on the new Duo, even when using the Dining app, pre-auth is no longer an option. I'd post a screenshot here showing you if I could. BUT, we're working on a Clover app to solve this problem... I'll let you know when we've fixed the problem if you're interested.

Clover uses Fiserv/First Data for all payment processing as they own the Clover platform. However, there are hundreds of Clover dealers nationwide so you can pick your processing representative based on your needs. If you have any questions and would like to discuss, let us know.

Fiserv purchased First Data and integrated it into their platform. First data no longer exists.

Correct, Fiserv acquired First Data/Clover as an investment to expand their software offering, not due to negative reviews or to change the name. 100% false information. Fiserv is a software gorilla and has evevated the platform since the acquisition.

The only way to re-use a Clover device is to contact the original dealer. You can't re-use a Clover issued by BOA with a local representative and vice versa. This is why we caution business owners to avoid buying pre-owned hardware from eBay. The only items of value are non-serialized items such as printers and cash drawers.

Absolutely abysmal technical support. My clover station has been nothing but a nightmare since I implemented it 6 months ago. Systemic system failures, and technical support that is just god awful, if you want a system that's consistently down. And if you want to spend 25 hours a week on the phone trying to fix. Then go ahead waste your time and money... Clover really puts the piece of s*** in POS

I would advise working with a Clover specialist in your area that is well versed in the setup and training as opposed to going direct to Clover. Night and day difference.

Looks like they've repurposed their support people to logon to Trustpilot and leave fake 5 star reviews: Now, a year later, there are 1277 reviews (vs 444 when this vid made) and 52% (5 star) vs 44% (1 star) rating as compared to 22% (5 star) vs 73% (1 star) when this vid released.

This is a great catch @neildrd. If you go on to trust pilot and click on the 5-star reviews, you can see how many of them say "invited" which means they solicited for those reviews. Those aren't random people. They were asked to give a 5-star review. Clever of them, but it doesn't give a true picture of Clover. Thanks for the heads up for all of us.

Horrible DO NOT BUY. Basically if you want to play at running a bar and use white plastic hardware go for it. Just one thing not addressed in video there is no CASH TRACKING. They claim this is done through the transaction log who’d want to spend the night counting and subtracting all days transactions to see if your till is good. The app cash tracker has one star and is missing basic functionality like open the drawer to count a bank. Clover solution is to give staff admin clearances wtf. Insane to market A POINT OF SALE machine but doesn’t track cash . Also they track guest info even if you don’t want them to.
