I cosplay characters with gray or purple skin and I've used grease paint for many years now, I've NEVER seen this mineral oil/soap trick and I am officially MINDBLOWN. that took like a single minute to take off a whole face of paint!! I'm absolutely trying this next time, you're a lifesaver

Thank you for your kind words...As a person who really loves people and wants to make the world a happier place...I'm so glad that this video could help you. I'm proud of you for facing your fears. If you can overcome your fear, then you will be one less person who makes those of us who are (non scary) professional entertainers feel sad. Children Entertainer Clowns who have poured their lives out to study theater, and comedy and pay a ton of money into professional costumes and props are not going away. They may change their makeup to tone it down, but the world will not be a good place without laughter. That's why most of us do it and it also helps us feel better when we help others have fun and laugh. Makeup is used to help exaggerate the human expressions from a stage or arena seating but the thing that differentiates scary vs. non scary is the heart and motivation. There are nice people who play scary clowns because there are many people who like and enjoy getting scared. I am not one of those. I hate being spooked or startled, so never in my right mind would I try to scare anyone. Have a great and happy day.

COAI Jr. Joeys, I would just like to say thank you for replying to my comment. It is so nice to see people doing things they enjoy and kind people like you who do what they do to make people happy are helping me get over my irrational fear very quickly. I wish you all the best and hope you continue to do your job which you seem to really enjoy for many years to come so that such happiness can be shared.

I really learned some good tips in this vid. I knew most clowns are very expressive, but did not know about the pupil line for the makeup. When you did your facial expression practice, it really showed how well that works. 😎

Not sure about Baby Shampoo but shampoo is meant for hair, making it too harsh for skin, so therefore should not be applied to skin. The difference is microscopic but does matter.
@ginahernandez79802 жыл бұрын
Makeup remover is an interesting topic and I think I mention that there are so many different ways to clean our faces. I started using grease paint on my face at the age of 15 and I am now 59. I originally use to use baby oil and ivory soap. I found that baby oil had fragrance and left my skin red. But then I heard about baby shampoo and mineral oil. The two together worked like a dream. Baby shampoo is very light for babies, and it does not sting your eyes like soap. I have never had a problem with the baby shampoo and mineral oil and my skin is still in good shape. I think its a very personal thing, but I have tried many types of cleaners from mary kay, to oil of oley, to the expensive skin cleaner that people who give facials try to sell me. I will continue to use the best thing I have found that is gentle on my skin and eyes. Baby Shampoo and mineral oil. Thank you for your comment TenFour
@tenfour0002 жыл бұрын
@@ginahernandez7980 Yes, you are absolutely at free will to do as you please, I only mention since I had recently seen a video of how shampoo is only meant for hair and not skin due to the minor microscopic abrasions that could possibly cause skin and thought to make aware as concern. Now I want to congratulate you on your years of appearance, it looks good, keep up the good work.

Hi Regina (aka Cha Cha,) that eye brow design. You showed in your video. Can it be used for a white-faced clown? Just wondering. Thank you.
@COAIJrJoeys5 жыл бұрын
David Liebowitz good question. Yes it can. Best thing to do is to try it and see. The goal is to have good movable eyebrows that can make funny expressions.
@ginahernandez79802 жыл бұрын
I totally forgot that my videos were getting comment. So two years later here I am answering you. My answer is that I use my eye brows on my white face or auguste. The only way we ever really find out is to try it. I look for movement of eyebrows for expression. so remember that the eyebrows should be in the muscles above the eyebrow so you get the most movement. When i do a white face I like to flatten my eyebrows so that they are not bushy through my make up. Then painting my eyebrows higher makes them work and look better.

As a professional clown and a retired massage therapist, I would highly recommend using jojoba oil vs baby oil on your skin to take off your makeup. The mineral oil is not that great for your skin.
