"Clown Town" is a grade 1 concert work with a twist! Percussionists are introduced to exciting auxiliary instruments such as siren whistle, police whistle, ratchet, vibraslap, and more. The wind players get in on the fun by playing kazoos and bird whistles, and trombonists are introduced to the infamous gliss. This is an excellent choice for first year band students to enjoy learning about melody with simple harmony and contrasting dynamics/articulations.
