Hey, since you've got experience taking the dash out, why haven't you upgraded the ambient lighting to 12 colours?

It’s a lot of work and just like this it’s not a simple plug and play. I miss being able to use the steering wheel display to view track info and change tracks. With this you will probably have to use an app a remote vs what you can do in the factory menus. If I like the other guys on KZbin who get hooked up I would do a video.

@@goatk1 The ambient lighting upgrade is you just swap out the OEM plugs with the new ones and it feeds the LED strips that you do not replace the new colours. KZbin "w218 ambient light" and you'll see some videos, and some videos have the footwell with the matching ambient lighting. I'm going to install it within the week probably.

@@user-pu3cf9pd2m yes but its controlled by a separate module and not the factor system. So ill have to use a cheap remote or app to change color. Its nice but not worth the headache or price. $20 govee lights are better in my opinion.

@@goatk1 no it's not, that's the 64 colour one. If you buy the 12 colour rgb ones, the colors are controlled from the instrument cluster. Although the new colours don't show up in the cluster, you just keep hitting up or down.

usb aux sound i believe wasn't installed correctly might be the reason I can't hear anything from the device. would you be able to upload a pic or the wire in the arm rest so I can show my installer what he may have done wrong.
