CLUB MED - PLAYA BLANCA - 1978 - MEXICO - 1970's

HI CLUB MED FANS,
This is a slideshow of our Club Med vacation in Playa Blanca 1978. The first part has brochures from the 1970's and the second part contains our pics of the club, G.M.'s, and G.O.'s.
Club Med was sure fun and Playa Blanca was one of my favorites.
Playa Blanca was on the Pacific side of Mexico, 2 hours south of Puerto Vallarta.

The brochure scans are taken from my personal Club Med brochure collection from the 1970's and 1980's. Since there are so few pics of Playa Blanca on the net, I included scans from different years, not just 1978.
99% of the pictures were taken by me (a couple of scenery pics were borrowed off the net and from Frank and John - thank you).
At Playa Blanca, there were no locks on the doors, so I left my good camera at home, and I used a 110. Later Club Med pictures (Cancun, Sonora, Turkoise, etc) were taken with 35mm camera, and they are nicer quality. (check my other videos - coming soon).
Unfortunately, Playa Blanca is closed now. Too bad, it was one of my favorite clubs.
These Club Med videos are meant to be fun - I hope you enjoy the pictures and the music.

I love this song. We used to dance club med crazy signs at the end of the show. This happened in club med Can Cun 1881. I worked as a G’O.

Buen día o buenas noches, yo conocí a tu tío, estuve en el ballet folclórico que se presentaba todos los miércoles durante 10 años aproximadamente estuve llendo al club y como dices tu muy buen video, me trae muchos recuerdos saludos desde Zapopan Jalisco, lastima que ya quitaron ese lugar 😞

Well done! I had been to Playa Blanca many times and it was my favorite club. I wish it was still open.
