I would always say that Vidyasagar did what Rahman did to Tamil cinema in Malayalam. but we could hear such sounding in Malayalam only in the music of Vidyasagar. other composers in Malayalam where doing the regular typical old style music only. But it is Deepak Dev who took it to another level. It was one step ahead. a movement started in Malayalam cinema back then and it was a transition period

Well prepared questions and good answers. Rafi could have asked his experience with Vidyasagar too as he was a programmer with Vidayasagar for around 2-3 years. I remember seeing Deepak Dev's name for Keyboard Programming on Meesamadhavans audio cassette.

Started paying attention to malayalam music after him. Before that always played hindi tamil or English alone. His music was very different from usual malayalam music in movies those days. Now malayalam music is awesome.

I listen to music on a high-end audio setup with a Denon AVR, SVS subwoofer, and Polk speakers. Honestly, the sound in Deepak Dev's earlier films can feel quite artificial, but it does improve in his later works. On a regular audio setup, they’re still enjoyable. Of course, the tunes are what matter most, and Deepak’s melodies always feel fresh.

പത്താം ക്ലാസ്സിൽ 72% കിട്ടിയപ്പോൾ എനിക്ക് കിട്ടിയത് casio pt 82 micro keyboard.. അന്ന് എന്റെ റൂമിൽ പോസ്റ്റർ yamaha DX7 Roland D50 korg M1 ആയിരുന്നു.. പിന്നെ ജോലി കിട്ടി settle ആയപ്പോ അതിനും മേലെ ഉള്ള keyboards ഒക്കെ വാശിയോടെ വാങ്ങിക്കൂട്ടി.. ദീപക് പറയുന്ന് അമേരിക്കയിൽ നിന്ന് വാങ്ങിയ keyboard korg oasys ആണെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു
