My daughter is 10 months old and she has club foot now she his recovering upto 70 percent. She will cry to much while wearing the shoes .she will not wear the shoes....pls tell me any suggestion........

Thanks for the video. Please reply to my query. After tenatomy procedure and 2.5 weeks plaster foot has not reached full dorsiflex. Is it advisable to put few more plasters or we have to go for another tenotomy?

Dear Pranjal, the foot should be casted above knee for 3 weeks after the tenotomy procedure at 70 deg. abduction and at least 15 deg dorsiflexion. If the cast is not at this angle, the foot will not reach full dorsiflexion (www.physio-pedia.com/Achilles_Tenotomy ). I am not a clinician but I can refer you to a trusted Ponseti provider. Are braces needed even when the club foot is mild?

If it's congenital clubfoot, even mild cases have risk of relapse. the brace stage is very important for all cases of congenital clubfoot. There is a chance you are referring to positional clubfoot. If it is positional, that means that the foot was positioned that way in the uterus and should be fine after a cast or two. It's not "true" clubfoot and wont' need a brace. It's best to ask a trusted Ponseti practitioner.
