Man I absolutely fucking loved the 90's. Between the years of 97 and 00, my life revolved around the weekends. work Mon to Fri to fund the weekend and nothing more. It was all about Pete Tongs Essential selection and Judge Jules on in the car to get heads up on latest bangers whilst on a mission to get our E's, Preferably mitsis. Then it would be back home to iron the Ben sherman shirt and splash on the Versace blue jeans or coolwater lol and the rest would be a blur until the alarm clock going off on Monday morning.

It's odd how people who were around in the 90s seem to have this idea that "it's not the same now" like yeah, it's not - the primary thing that's changed is YOU. You're old now. You're probably in your 40s or 50s with kids and a full time job, you aren't really in a position to say how things are now because you're out of the loop. The future is now old man!

Wow! What a document to how clublife looked, felt, and not least, SOUNDED in 98. At the time we hosted dnb, electhro, house,, soul, hiphop, breaks and chillout themed events, raves loftparties and radios shows all throughout our nation capital of Oslo Norway. These sounds resonate on so many levels. And a little sad I didnt have camera at the time, so few photos or footage from amazing nights.... Oh well, this sort of makes up for it.. Some of the fondest memories of my life, daytime was spent hunting for records, garbs or in the library sorting or repairing books where I thankfully worked as a librarian, a welcome contrast to the often long nigths and weekends. We had a lot of fun! :)

Will have to watch it all at some point. The section with Judge Jules, Cream and Gatecrasher was brilliant- just look at the atmospheres! Packed solid with suitably dilated pupils, especially in Crasher. So much exciting music around this time whether it be trance, hard house, speed garage, drum & bass, hip hop- lots of vibrant scenes with something for everyone. Record shops were a huge part of it, not to mention mags such as Mixmag, Wax, M8, DJ and so on. Such a shame that clubs were in decline by the mid 2000s. There's definitely been a loss and while some of the activity transferred to festivals, it's never been quite the same. £200 for a ticket isn't the same as £15 or £10 for a great club night.

I really wish I was old enough to go clubbing in Ibiza from 95 onwards. I used to know someone who lived out there for a few years doing season work and some of the stories she's told me were ducking amazing. Going to all these clubs and seeing the world's best DJs play in the world's BEST club's. I've been out there maybe 6 or 7 times and my favourite club is SPACE.
