True Racers always want more and from my point of view, both Phil and Garrett showed up and gave it there all considering Garrett wasn't feeling 100% and Phil is coming back from an injury. Southwick was gnarly and took a lot out of everyone. Thanks for Sharing the journey!

Oh the Southwick Hangover. Alot of riders are still feeling the effects of the hot Southwick brutal track. Takes a couple of weeks to recover from that torture marathon for most riders.

Phil is the man! Always seems salty but in real life he’s such a cool guy! If you’re just passing by the rig and say hello to Phil he will come over and shoot the shit with you, makes sure you are having a good time, just a real down to earth good guy. I know he wants to do well. We all want him to do well too! But sometimes the old body just can’t take it. He was still spent from Southwick and I’m sure he was right back on the bike on Monday! These guys don’t get much time to rest! They ride just about every day except Sunday and that’s usually a travel home day! Back on the bike Monday thru Thursday, travel Thursday night or Friday morning. Friday press day, race Saturday, then back to it! I’m 54 and still work construction and doing 4-10’s with 3 days off and by Thursday I’m spent! This California heat ain’t helping much either!

Phil is such a good guy, he try’s to put on a hard shell but you can tell he’s a GREAT friend to have on your side. He’s forgotten how difficult it was to build the endurance to charge for both moto’s but his skills are still there WHEN his endurance is back he’s a podium guy for sure, Phil you just got back off injury and you’re base is still coming your wisdom package makes you not appreciate just how good your doing because the mind knows you’re potential for more. Be patient (easy to say) but we believe in you and you need to also ❤💪🤔🏁😁
