💯Those of us who are old enough to remember know Jim Carrey was floating around Hollywood for YEARS (early to mid / late 80's); we watched him in various stand-up specials and movies. It was obvious he was talented, but for whatever reason Hollywood didn't see his star potential. When Jim popped up on In Living Color' basically doing the same stuff he was known for in addition to new show material, the country got to EVERY WEEK how funny he was. He wasn't under utilized. Without In Living Color he Jim wouldn't have gotten the exposure he needed to become a star.

I’d say [hands down] the funniest man in modern history, and maybe the funniest in all of history. I’ve seen [almost] every behind-the-scenes featurette of his movies and he’s even funnier between takes, killing the cast and crew with laughter, completely off-the-cuff. Sellers, Preyer, Wilder, Martin, Belushi, Murphy, and Williams are all greats, but i don’t know of anyone who could match Carrey’s incredible quick-wit. He’s the GOAT, imho… “FORCE OF NATURE” is a fair assessment, tho ;p Funny enough, my favorite [all-time] film is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, where Jim was barely [at best] funny.

Keenen Ivory Wayans is the Dr Dre of comedy. This man has down way more behind the scenes than he’s ever given credit for. He has a strong eye for talent, knows how to challenge them, brings the best out of them while also allowing them to be themselves and making them into superstars
@chiville165Ай бұрын
I was thinking the same thing especially with jim carrey. Dr. Dre found em and gave him chance just like keenen did with jim carrey when hollywood didnt give jim a chance
