I met Waka at the Airport in Atlanta and dude was so cool and laidback. He even hooked up by putting me on the list for the show he was performing back home that same day. He even saw me in the crowd and gave me the 👊🏾 coolest guy ever.

I used to hoop at these apartments on the southside. Me and Waka both over 6’2” so we guarded each other. He was hella aggressive in the paint but I used to light him up from the 3. Great competition. Good to see his growth as a man because we used be about to knuckle up every other play. 🏀😂

What Waka had to say was eye opening and very inspirational on a spiritual level. I to had to grow and evolve out of survival mode, and totally transform my way of living. The journey hasn’t been easy, but it has been rewarding. Taking better care of myself has awarded the universe the opportunity to do the same. So thanks for sharing Waka and Shay!

To this day Hard in the Paint is one of my favorite tracks ever. I remember his mixtapes Lebron Flocka James and Du Flocka Rant. Love this interview because its always funny that he says he cant rap (and I believe he really thinks that because he put out a mixtape called I Cant Rap) but he was one of my favorite artists while in college. I truly respect his growth as an individual.
