Shannon has turned himself into a excellent interviewer. He ask great questions and let's the guest talk
@Boofsquad Жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. This is a true interview, Shannon asks a question and let's Harvey run with it as many different directions as he takes it and Shannon only squeezes in to affirm him he's listening and maybe asks a follow up question on something he wanted more on or that interested him. One of the more entertaining interviews I've seen to date.

I worked for the Steve Harvey Show as a PA season 5. Till this day, Steve is one of the 2 hardest workers I’ve been around. Left the set one night around 9-10 pm and Steve was still acting. I went to sleep in my car, woke up, turned the radio on and Steve was at work on his LA radio show the next day. The same advise he’s giving others, he once gave to me, too.

The reasons why Shannons interviews always go so well, are because 1, He actually is INTERESTED in the people he's questioning, 2. He allows the guest to talk freely and be themselves while he maintains professionalism with personality. 3, He asks questions EVERYONE wants to know.

So glad I watched this interview after Katt's. Wouldn't have been able to appreciate the beautiful pieces of wisdom that exist in this piece. His story is of a man who like most of us is (like Steve himself admits) full.of flaws who has made many costly mistakes, experienced many painful failures, faced a lot of (even public) embarrassments on his journey to success and understands what it means to feel guilty and shame. The fact that he succeeded despite his imperfections (and took a long while before doing so) will inspire so many people out there - and in particular those who are searching for hope (through the right lens) and not for what's wrong.

I respect the hustle he’s made, and his accomplishments. I can’t however, stand behind the messages he’s giving about relationships. It’s clearly panders towards his delusional majority female audience. Man has been through 3 marriages, he’s the least qualified to advice other men on relationships. His generation has been told by many before him that we as men have to do xyz for our women, while simultaneously suffer for/under them one way or the other. Due to simply what us men are just suppose to do, while we see the standard of modern women just keeps decreasing in todays western society. Yet they continue to expect to get only the best (top 10%) men. If not the best men then theyre current man better become one of the best in order just to be with her, or she’ll find someone else. While we men are just to accept any flaws/straight up abuse and disrespect women throw at us. If we dare to state our preferences we’re labeled misogynists. It’s only because of cases like amber heard becoming nationwide news; has the general public finally admit that women should not just be put on a pedestal and take her words at face value. It’s the reason why so many men keep pushing to be aware/ask what does she bring to the table. A relationship is a two way street both partners have to understand each others boundaries, needs, expectations, and compromise on problems together. Love you’re videos though bro! 💯

This broke me @CLUB SHAY SHAY. I had no idea that Steve Harvey was also homeless in Pensacola. I was living in my car there until a car wreck and wound up living a year and a half homeless there before God lifted me up after I told Him I was listening, too. This felt like it spoke to me personally. I have never been a big fan of Steve Harvey (He's alright, but I'm more Katt Williams), but this really touched me to see. I really appreciate your skill as an interviewer and while watching the episode with Mo'Nique earlier, and how you always seem to bring out something you would not expect, and this one it just really felt real and personal. I'm a Dallas, Texas native who listened to Steve Harvey morning show morning on my way to work. This was over 20 years ago, Steve spoke VERY of his then wife (Mary) often. He bragged on how good she was to him, how she stood by his side when he didn't have anything, how much he loved and adored her. There's so many bullet holes in his story. I don't understand why celebrities tell involuntary lies. They get upset when the public calls them out on it. His eye needs to tell his mouth the same Mike Tyson joke he told on Def Comedy Jam years ago.

It's great to see a guy talk about his trials and tribulations, make no excuses, lose everything twice, and then bounce back and keep on keeping on. My favorite parts are when he talked about his grade-school situation, how his father believed in him and what was in his head, his love for his mother (obviously) and the relationship between his parents; also I loved how he dealt with the beauty pageant situation and how that situation got resolved and he has ownership; then the funny part is seeing how his daughters were trying to control his relationship when he's grown, their father, found the love of his life and here they come with all that negative foolishness but the sons got along well, it's just an overall great interview, one of the best Shannon Sharpe has done, legendary, and Steve is a great interview and communicator.
