I've already loved John Legend' music and body of work. As a young singer, I used to pull from his catalog tremendously. But I just have to say, this is by far the most astute, informative, high-level conversation I've heard on Club Shay Shay, and I indeed enjoy ALL of the content. But this interview was phenomenal! And my respect for both John Legend and Unc has skyrocketed. Thank you to both of you men, especially African American men, for sitting and having such a clear, concise, high-level conversation. I'm the type that can put a song on repeat and literally never tire of singing it due to the absolute 'eargasmic' feeling it produces for me....Prelude, Let's Get Lifted, Let's Get lifted Again....Again & Another Again, & Darkness & light w/ B Howard just so many engulfs me! I love artist that really put effort and creatively order their tracklist. Get Lifted is one of the few albums I actually bought a physical CD. It's an absolute favorite non-skip album. & always anticipated every album thereafter because that man's composition, writing, and singing truly is legendary. But Get Lifted & Love in The Future will absolutely stand the test of time. Although, I gotta say, when saw you in Detroit (hometown) some years ago - I definitely didn’t get the interactive type of show Shannon talking about with all the stories & gems 🤔😅 but nonetheless, thank you for real music, JL. Seriously.
