The cable detail along the gusset looks so amazing. This might sound weird but the colours you are using remind me exactly of a stripey bath towel I had as a child at my grandmothers house. It’s a very nostalgic colour combo for me.

That's Not Wierd... That's Sweet. My Grandmother Was 60% Of The Happy Memories Of My Life, She Used To Feed Me Healthy Cereal And I Loved It, I Called Her My Gram Cracker 😅 She Always Had A Sweater With Snap Dragon Flowers On It.

I think my combo is going to look really cool after seeing this. My main color just arrived yesterday and I started the ribbing. I'm going to work on one sock at a time. I like complicated; so, I hope my grandson really likes them and wears them. He's bold and complicated, too. ❤

Hi Kaci- I have a matchless too and LOVE it! This past spring I got a wheel attachment kit specifically made for this wheel, so I can travel with it to the MD sheep and wool festival classes, so if needed, it can be used as a travel wheel- just not on an airplane!

Dankeschön fur ihre Arbeit. Ich bin fertig mit teil 3,aber der schaft ist so hoch das leider oben das Bündchen zu eng ist. Ich werde diese socke nochmal stricken aber ohne teil 2 bzw. Mehr machen am Bündchen und zöpfchen damit sie besser passen. ❤

Help please? Loving each clue and concentrating very hard. Somehow I have become the “ muddle headed wombat” ( an Australian phrase) with the pattern.Doing Size 3. Up to Row 37. Where it says Size 3 ONLY. YOU SHOULD have 80 stitches. This is your final count. I presume that’s where I stop. My stitch count is 83! ( mind blown as to how I got that…) Then it says Size 1 and 3 instructions for Round 37-44. My question is do I continue from Round 36 to round 44? Please help me with this as I do love doing the sock but am teetering on the edge of my ability level to interpret the pattern. Thanks in advance

Hi Lilian, sneak in 3 x k2tog on your next row straight knit stitching row maybe after the first 10 stitches at 30 stitches and then at 50 stitches to get you back to the pattern count of 80 as that is what you need. For your Row 37, you pick the instructions for the size, so for Size 3 as you have written you do the size 1 and 3 block of rows. i mark my pattern with a box around the size 1,3 instructions and put a pencil line through the other size instructions. You never ‘miss’ a row so you always follow the numeric row i.e 34, 35, 36, 37. I also highlight where I need to finish a couple of rows short pf a pattern repeat so for example on the slip stitch brick pattern before the heel flap, make sure you finish on your contrast colour as the two rows of main colour are part of the heel flap section. Hope that helps.

I am loving the pattern but struggling a bit with this section’s left sock instructions. I wonder if they are reversed? On the right sock my slipped stitches on top are lining up with the same pattern as they did before. My left sock slipped stitches are not? Am I doing something wrong? I am reading k10 sl2 but on my sock k4 sl2 k10 would align like the right does?

They should line up. Are you looking at the instructions for the correct size? They're separated into Size 1,3,&5, and 2&4.

Very creative but please don’t use red next time. The color is so difficult to see the stitches. It just blurs out and your have a fantastic camera set up.

OK so again I have not received clue three I have written to you and it says it's an invalid address when I try to get back to you this is very very frustrating that I am not receiving any of my clothes in rivalry I don't understand the problem but I need clothes free because I'm two weeks behind I'm waiting for crew one for a whole week then you want that and thank you too now I just got a link in the email and it says it's an invalid address and keeps on going to my inbox please somebody please get in touch with robbery and send me my pattern this is too frustrating

Mr. West, I have a question: why a new BoR is needed? Wouldn't be the instruction for the instep (and the sole/side) of the sock be easier? You would ended with all your sole sts on the 2 "back" DPNs, already a magic loop knitter would have the front needle with few sts (in your case 42) and a quite busy back needle. But it would be manageable since, in magic loop the cable is long. I've knitted several socks already as self taught; I am dyslexic and I have always found the new BoR confusing and a unnecessary complication for my brain, thus I have always changed into instruction for the sole and for the instep (i will probably do it for your sock as well (sorry).. But since you read the comments, I take this opportunity to ask a professional Knitter like you, if there is a reason for the new BoR.

Almost all patterns have the BR at the center of the heel.

A non-pro guess would be that such a big stitch count difference between front and back needles would increase stress at the magic loop point thus increase chances of a hard to close hole, or a very untidy cable. But could also be so the locations for decreases are more clear or easier for people to follow. Or just to hide the colour change under the heel for those not wanting to do the jogless stripe :) because knitting in the round is a spiral bor often doesn't matter, but sometimes it does so it's a good question.
