Tuchel being fired is one of the worst decisions in recent premier league History. The whole league even agreed it was an odd decision. I am an Arsenal fan and I am salty about it lol
@pjkerrigan20
@pjkerrigan20 Жыл бұрын
I think you have to look at it from a longer term perspective. Tuchel is notoriously stubborn about team selection and known for playing his players out of their preferred positions. Now if ur a new owner coming in and buying several big-money players, would u want the baggage of a manager that’s not gonna play ur marquee signings and already has some fractured and strained relationships within the club? Tuchel was always gonna have a short leash under Boehly. (To be fair, I am biased as a Palace supporter. Tuchel wasn’t giving my boys Gallagher and Pulisic enough playing time, and now our biggest rival Brighton has lost their hotshot manager in Potter)
@thelinedrive

Nah you could see Tuchel was starting to lose that team, Players weren’t responding to him and he ran off a bunch of players. With new ownership they want their guy in and getting someone who is effectively Tuchel but not an asshole was the right call.

It didn't help that when they came in they literally fired the entire board and executives of Chelsea. The new guy wanted to negotiate for deals he knew nothing about. Marina, one of the best negotiators in football left alongside the entire board. Some of the important people should have stayed for atleast a few months, just enough for the transfer window to close. It was evident in the way every single player linked to Chelsea was either snatched up or ended up paying massively over their valuation

Brighton FYI are the ultimate football nerd's club, and that attitude is supported by their owner. Potter left a team that is incredibly flexible and they've just signed the Italian hipster version of Potter in Roberto De Zerbi. Their first match after the break is an out of form Liverpool however, so it remains to be seen how long they stay in the top six!

As an American who decided to start watching the premier league last year and chose BHAFC as his team, I gotta say that I feel like they’re a great team for Americans to root for. Their young players are crazy good (literally all the big clubs want them) and they have the talent to be a sleeper and make it into the top five. Not too mention that Mitoma has been absolutely on fire since coming back from the World Cup.

Ya good, I started watching 15 years ago, & my biggest gripe is when people pick a club before watching, my advice is to watch for a year, because unless you just want to be a bandwagon fan & pick man city, chelsea or Newcastle, & don't care about external ethics, you need time to learn the clubs, firstly you just want to watch how they play, the reason I picked arsenal was because they played nice football, this is entertainment after all. Just like those 3, external cash can come at any time, so your clubs fortune can change, so unless you're going to change clubs every year which is beyond just being a glory hunter, you want to pick a club you truly like, don't just pick because of a single player or manager because they can move at almost any time, though your still allowed to like them off course, unless they move to your rival. Another really good mid team he missed which has been growing of late is crystal palace, came back to the epl a decade ago, continued to stave off relegation, but with a mostly old team & manager, now they've changed that to youth, they're exactly like arsenal in that sense, even having their legend manager, & all without money. But best is to still choose one of the big clubs of you don't live in the UK as it's easier to see their games, & watch them in eu comps

Only club to have gone the whole season without losing a game lmao. It was the debt we took to build the 60k capacity stadium that made us broke to the point we had to sell players to keep the club afloat, given our American owners were excruciatingly stingy. This coincided with the rise of Arab money City who poached our players, Harry Kane and Son emerging as the best duo in the league, Liverpool hiring Klopp and using money raised from player sales very well, and Chelsea being Chelsea and we lost our ground. Even so, until 5 seasons ago we were finishing in the top 4 consistently, season after season without fail. The next 5 saw complete chaos as we fired our long term manager but now I’d say Arsenal are the exciting team to follow. Not because of the immediate future prospects, but because of the talent pool and what they could usher in for the club, unless of course City poach them. :/

Best case scenario, we crack it once in the next five years, but if you read up on the history of the club, you'll understand how big an achievement that would be. Also maybe being biased, but Elland Road has the best atmosphere in the league, for all their quality on the pitch, none of the 'Big 6' would make the top 6 for actual home atmosphere. If you're looking for a solid team that are by no means a glory supporter's choice, a proud history and an electric atmosphere at the games, we're the club for you. They identified early that TT wasnt the long term solution and so they got him out. They are buying up young talent for the future and locking down their young talent like reece james. And the players they signed (save for maybe auba) all fit Graham potter ball well. It's gonna take a few years, but i think he will turn chelsea into the Dodgers of the prem. Secondly, liverpool is the most fun team to watch for Americans new to the og football, despite their slow start, so good call. This has been such a fun and cool video to learn from!! Not an american but a neutral who didn't had any team to root for in most leagues. Usually I'd root for Liverpool because of Salah and Klopp but the Spurs' team looks promising! And also sometimes I root for Leicester because of their story. Please do more videos like these for other leagues!

Nah don’t bandwagon guys choose a team honestly I’ve been a arsenal for a while now And I know more than most of the “pain” of not succeeding but this season there is new hope to restore our previous prestige so If anything I would much rather select an underdog than a club that is mostly always successful, the premier league is the best league in the world and as we seen in the past it really surprises you I’m talking about (Leicester City) so DONT bandwagon because it feels way better to win with a team that has been struggling than a team that everyone roots for that’s boring, I personally like being an odd ball between my friends.

Feel like you definitely should've given some background to the towns and supporters, not just the players and management. Yedlin was one of my pulls to NUFC back when we still had Ayoze, etc, but learning about the toon army and how they travel to every away game in numbers despite their geography was also a massive pull for me

Oh you gotta be excited about Everton this season. They look really good. Coady and Tarkowski at the back, Idrissa and Onana in midfield and Gray and Gordon up front. When DCL returns and if he manages to find form, Everton will be major spoilsport for most big teams. If Arsenal are mini City, Everton are mini Arsenal. Young and hungry crop of talent pool and a manager out to put himself on the map.

Side note on Mitrovic: He has apparently been on a hot streak since the last season. (In the second tier of English football, he scored 46 goals, in 43 games. AN ALL-TIME RECORD FOR THE SECOND TIER MIND YOU) Scoring a goal a game in nearly, as BMOnus said, it ain't easy. And if his form keeps up, ain't no telling how far that boy can go in the league. And he does this for a team, generally tipped for bottom 6/relegation/the lottery zone, ain't no telling how far he can go.

At that time (2011) it seemed like Man United was the bandwagon so I picked the blue team (Chelsea) to oppose the red, also cause I had visited London and thought it was a cool town. Never really payed much attention until 8 years later I’m studying in England and the guy I became close friends with happens to be a Chelsea season ticket holder. Now I live in LA right by dodger stadium and Chelsea got bought by the dodgers’ owner. Safe to say I’m a Chelsea fan for life now. Too bad I only started paying attention right as they suck hahahaha
