How to Lower **ANY** IKEA Crib - Step by Step instructions - Clueless Dad

NOTE: *Read this before you start! *
We show you step by step how to lower your IKEA crib.
These instructions work for the following models -
Sniglar
Gulliver
Stuva (Note: you need to remove the drawers before lifting it up)
Sundvik
Hensvik
Foljar
Gonat
(and probably a few others!)
Note - the Sniglar apparently doesn't have the dowel pins, but all of the other ones should. The steps are basically the same no matter what. BUT Please review and check your design before you start!

yes, they're banned in some places because of SIDs risks. (quite widely sold here though, including by stokke...).

For months I've been pestering my husband to do this, nothing happens! Tried several times really hard to do it myself but couldn't figure it out with the instructions given. Hello there. May i know the length of the screw inserted using the allen key? I've lost all the screws for my baby cot.

sorry, I'm not in HK at the moment, but you can find the part numbers on the PDF of the instructions on the ikea website, then you can google the part number and find the exact name/size for that part #. (and order online if you want...)

I think you can also get replacement hardware from IKEA, but you'd probably have to call and figure out how to talk to a human...

Leen what crib model do you have? The ones with the drawers built in may have an extra few fasteners.

Thanks for the reply! We've had a hard time finding crib bumpers for the Ikea Sundvik because of the two solid wall headboards. The mattress in you video seem to solve that problem.

Because evidently there are two different designs of the Stuva cot, and there are more fixings on the end of the one I have compared to yours. Just beware :)

This assembly is not as evry ikea crib. I have a stuva crib , I was almost to break the side of my crib thinking thats all there is to it. No more screws . Pls don’t give such misleading information

Can you be more specific about what was different on your crib? What other screws were there? According to the assembly instructions from Ikea it is basically the same -- remove the four screws on the end piece and move the bed plank to the lower holes. Yours has more dowel pins because of the drawers, but otherwise its looks like the steps would be the same. www.ikea.com/us/en/assembly_instructions/stuva-crib__AA-760581-6_pub.pdf

I have a Stuva as well, and for those who use the drawers there are four additional screws to undo. I didn't nearly break the crib or anything but it is worth mentioning that there are extra steps for the Stuva cribs.
