I’ve been playing With Scottish Pipe and Drum bands for almost 25 years. Clumsy Lover is a great and fun tune. You have quick fingers but I would encourage you to slow it down. It’s not a Peabrock tune to choose your speed. At that speed not even the top snare drummers in the world being Jim Kilpatrick or Reid Maxwell could keep up with a snare score. That base drum has got to be from a DCI style marching band because it in no way has the tone of a Scottish base drum. Regardless I enjoyed watching it and I’m assuming you just did it at that speed for fun which is fine. I mean no disrespect. Keep playing and advancing your skills!

Six years later and, having listened to a lot more solo piping, I admit my initial comment was incorrect! The Great Highland Pipes are the hardest instrument to master and this chap has done a damned good job. 😊

Barry Suridge Do you enjoy being shitty to young pipers? Are his fingers perfect? No. But he still plays better than a lot of dance pipers. These boys are just having fun. Leave them alone.

Hate the sound of that bass. Far too tight for those beaters, and no hum. And I don't like how over-filled the playing is. Apart from that, brilliant.
