Neil always helpful to review your “performances” thanks for the reduced speed so we can review the embellishments - really well done Sir! 👍. Two questions- upper hand pinkie... read it should be “low” (you), but as I’m looking at mine it’s “high”... does it matter? Also, short vs long practice chanter... why did you choose a short version (vs spacing practice on the long chanter)? Keep up the great work! 👍😊

Hi Leo, thanks. Top hand pinkie... nice and tidy round the back, but nope, doesnt matter. Short vs long... I'm going to stir it a bit here, but firstly, when I learned there were only "Short". The long came out in the 80s, and the big sell was that it made the holes closer to the pipe chanter. If you compare side by side though, theres really not much difference, sometimes none. Long chanter -- £250, short £80? No brainer for me. But why did I choose? I didn't.. I got the PC for nothing and I've always played a normal pc .I think a lot of stuff thats sold now is sold with the main purpose of making pipe makers money. No harm in that.
