It was staged. From Reddit: The "reporter" was actually Mike Roy, Vice President of Finance for the University. "I built this tower because people everywhere were wondering what the next structure would be. I wanted to do one that was rather unique, and I had built this one at home, and it was a blast to do. Unlike the original Pisa tower which has mortar and the such this one relies only on gravity to keep the lean. It is made completely hollow just as the original one is. It took about six days to construct because it collapsed seven times before finally perfecting the lean. It took approximately 80 sets of Jenga to build this tower. It was demolished by stringing a wire through the bottom of it which was hidden out of view of the camera that was filming the event. When 'interviewer' Mike Roy stepped around it with his microphone cord the wire was pulled to make it collapse."

Amazing structure Bryant! If anyone ever wonders how a building “implodes” or “looks like a demolition crew took it down” it's because skyscrapers are mostly hollow. They cannot support themselves like solid trees so they cannot fall like trees. The easiest way to prove this is with a domino tower. It's nearly impossible for a domino tower to tip over as all the pieces follow gravity straight down and not in the direction of collapse. If I can just change one conspiracy theorist's mind about how physics works, I will have lived a meaningful life!

Another giveaway detail is collapse of the tower over the microphone cord and it still flops around freely without making any other noise after the initial sound effect finishes. It's probably shot in front of a greenscreen too. The quality of the background makes me think it's stretched to cover the whole scene, and the lack of attention to the minor explosion in the middle of a library is also suspect. Still a great video with an engaging plot and tons of little details to entertain the careful watcher. I refuse to believe "evil" is a coincidence. :)
