It should be remembered that these Streetlites don't have a kickdown of any sort. The only way to get one to change down on a hill like this is to confuse the gearbox by playing with the accelerator pedal, however this does result in a rather vicious clunk when the gearbox does eventually realise what the driver is up to and changes up again.
INFO ABOUT THE VEHICLE:
NK15 AAE is a Wright Streetlite with the fleet number of 1590 operated out of Faverdale depot by Arriva North East, it wears Arriva's MAX livery which is designated to Arriva's "limited stop routes" or as most of us call them, express routes. Unlike the vast majority of MAX specification vehicles throughout the country these 5 Streetlites operated out of Darlington have the added provision of plug sockets, normally something that is reserved for "Sapphire" vehicles. 1590 can be seen here
