Good analysis on mirage, but the reason Xyp peaked a main through molly wasn't because "he's comfortable peakingbefore the defuse" or to catch the ct offguard. He was low HP and he knew if he lets the molly hit the ground, the round is lost, Sunny also knew that, thats why he threw the molly. From Sunny's perspective, there are 2 options: 1)molly ramp and hold the molly in case Xys peaks 2)molly and instantly defuse so the molly doesnt run out giving Xyp a chance to peak. Unfortunately for him, he chose to defuse.

I finally realized my mistake: It depends on your language of your communication! Imagine you got kill by a guy at Short(Dust 2) and you see him fall back but called "He's short!" which could also mean "He *is* short", which will hinder people who chose English as their main language. Instead we should've said "He *was* short" which could tell people about the person falling back to safer positions! No wonder I'm still stuck in silver...

I think he is the best in the world, period. When you win a 1 v 1 against KennyS who is holding A site on dust2, and that's just mentioned like a side note, not even the point of the highlight, you know a player is on another level. Even Elma says it, 'he just wins the 1 v 1' like it's normal to beat these guys in 1 v 1. Regardless of position, timing, xhair placement etc. you still need to hit those shots. And he damn well does.
@PatrikSarin
@PatrikSarin 5 жыл бұрын
@@retardno002 Unfortunately there is much, much more to that. He is after all just the support. He can clutch often, but its not a way for a team as dominant as astralis to win all games setting Xyp9x for a clutch. Igl's are way underrated in this game, enty combos such as magisk and dupreeh are a way to win t side soully by themselves, AWPs can destroy certain choke points on their own etc. There is much more than a player, who plays support and has a good rate on clutches. Xyp9x is slightly maybe a little underrated player, but all and all he is not top 1 player (top 10 for sure (HLTV rankings only check who has best ratings)). Cs is a team based game and the best team will always have top players of their own roles.
@retardno002
@retardno002 5 жыл бұрын
@@PatrikSarin I appreciate the complexities of naming the best player in the world, but to state that Astralis 'set him up for clutches' is very incorrect. He ends up in clutches due to how they are positioned upon entry into one site or another, but their intention is never to end up in a 1 v X situation, just that if it does happen, they'd like that to be Xyp. That would suggest that he is the most capable player on the team, much like Coldzera was positioned in SK, or GeT_RiGhT at NiP's height of dominance. Given that Astralis is the best team in the world, and this is their best player, that would suggest that he is the best player in the world, would it not? HLTV have their ratings and their numbers but I'm trying to use common sense. I'm not even an Astralis fan, it just looks like a plausible argument and I give credit where it's due.
@PatrikSarin
@PatrikSarin 5 жыл бұрын
@@retardno002 I never said astralis sets him up to be in a clutch just to win the game... Also he is the smartest player to play clutches and most capable of doing that. Does not mean he is the best player in the team, nor the game.

probably because the bomb was just planted. It's very hard to waste out 40 seconds in a 1v1 with someone like xyp9x, plus styko was on low hp. In addition he heard xyp9x running out of ammo and went for the timing. I'm just a normal mm player but this is my take lol

Xyp was is a horrible position compared to sunny. Once sunny knew he was up there, he also knew xyp most likely wants to reposition to get into a better position since he's so exposed up there. This is more like a mindgaming thingy. You see xyp doing this more often. That's why he's so good at clutching. A lot of players go all the time for the off angles, or all the time for the best possible position, but xyp does both.

Why did bodyy stare at the wall at 6:15? If Xyp peeked he wouldn't even see him
@davidralphsky
@davidralphsky 5 жыл бұрын
He's not worried about getting peeked, Xyp should still be deep in mid. He's listening, and it's easier to pinpoint sounds if you're looking towards where they're being made.

Sorry but that doesn't make sense. It's not what Xyp9x doing, but what shitty job the other team is doing. Situation 1 (mirage): a) 2:14 ropz shouldn't peaked like that. You wait for oskar to trade. Or, if you still decide to peak, land your damn spray right and kill. Jiggle peak. Or run peak - you have UMP and must make it hard for AK to hit you. But ropz just sits down like a silver. b) oskar wasn't ready for upper firebox, while it's often what pro players do. Wake up oskar. c) 4:54 look at how slow was sunNy to react on Xyp9x peak out of ramp. If you know the player is there, why you're not ready? Do you really expect a pro player to just sit in ramp in front of molly saying "Oh well, a molly here, I'm blocked, I have to let sunny win the round"? Pro players so often just push through the damn molly. Especially if it's your last change to take the round. Wake up sunNy. Situation 2 (dust): 6:55 (8:27) bodyy just doesn't check properly all the angels, just walks out on mid unprepared for short. Not even a single bullet hit Xyp9x. 7:12 Xyp9x kills kennyS. That's random. Both players were doing a proper job. Though, kennyS might've been ready better for a push. Situation 3: 12:21 KRIMZ should've waited for Brollan to peak the site first to get ANY info on where Xyp9x might/mightnot be. If KRIMZ dies (he does), Brollan has a hard time killing Xyp9x while he's dodging behind those boxes. That's obvious. But anyway if you peak, kill the guy (he doesn't, well yes, low hp). And also why didn't Brollan use the flash to help KRIMZ peak? And why do you even engage if you don't have the defuse kits and so little time? An of course a little bit of luck and randomness for Xyp9x. But he's not doing anything outstanding.
