xyp9x is truly the best representation of how to clutch: calm, isolate 1v1, outsmart your opponents. He is also very underrated and doesn't seem to want attention or appreciation for his skill. He plays as a team, he's always the person you go to when things are falling apart. I've always adored his calmness since Astralis was established. Truly a clutchmaster

i didn't realise edward had to break the 2nd vent when he went down. as soon as he saw the 2nd vent still intact with the bomb already going down, he should've known from timings that it was impossible for xyp9x to be planting lower. by having to go all the way out to check shows that he wasn't really thinking or perhaps was just feeling the pressure of the situation.

Something I think too many people overlook is that Ed, most likely did not make this play completely on his own. Yes, he had the player to control. But SOMEONE on his team must have said something. Made some sort of call to impact his decision. Because I think in nearly all cases, you check A. Especially on Nuke where the sounds are so fucky... Just check it. But if you have a teammate in your ear yelling "HE'S B IT'S B, B, B,B,B".... Then yeah, you might not do something you normally would have just done.

Additional thought on the smoke in the first scene could also be that xyp wanted to bait out shots as its also common to plant the bomb in such a smoke in clutch situations. In that first scenario, plenty of pros with lesser game iq will also be distracted by CT too but he knows thats the last thing he needs to look at, higher chances Rain didn’t over rotate all the way from B and bet completely it was A so he had to worry about connector and jungle. That smoke gave him the upperhand because Rain now couldn’t possibly react fast enough to spot a head first with all of the bombsite options in front of him.

The problem with Edward mistake was that Nuke's sounds are SOOO terrible. I really can't understand how valve have already made new Inferno and new D2 and just now realized how bad nuke is as a map in general. At least they're trying to improve it and to make it more competitive, but the main thing they have to focus on is the sound.

If Edward was not in a pressure situation, he would have known that it was planted on A. The 2nd vent was not broken. With this info you know that he could not have planted B. If he knew that he might have had enough time to catch xyp9x while he was positioning himself. But like I said, pressure situations cause simple mistakes. Not to take anything from the first clutch on Nuke, but why would Xizt go up the vent ladder right behind Guardian? He knew Guardian got shot while on the ladder, so clearly it was being watched. @hpintrepid6 жыл бұрын
It would have been the same direction from Edward's position. You can't differentiate a sound coming from below you vs a sound on your equal elevation. Plus it's one sound cue that happens very fast, followed by the plant sound, with (theoretically) teammates talking in your ears. It's understandable how Edward misplayed the sound cue initially. The visual of the unbroken vent should have been a bigger tip off to him.

I think it's due to the fact that the only position you could have been to that quickly as a CT is the vent area, and Xyp9x knowing that the FaZe players would want to go for a double peek would have to assume that they were both there, unless it was a simple missplay from Guardian. I'm guessing after 5 or so seconds Xyp9x would have stopped looking at that area and started to be more wary of other entrances to the site

sorry for my bad english but here what i think is the answer of ur question my frined )) i think he knew it after the bomb planting and catching the first guy..... As when he planted, definitely the guy defending A site at the moment will peak him. even after planting no one peaked him, then he though alright catch the closest possible rotation and he found the first guy .... if someone was close to him at that moment he could have already been shown to him (as the rule peaking at same point in a 1 v 2 scenario) and here the 2nd guy didn't came. so he just kept watching the same angle ... and one more thing that makes it more clear is that it was the closest rotation possible and if a guy is not there he should be still far away so he had few more seconds to watch the same angle.
