Clutch pedal fell to the floor yesterday and I’m soooo glad all I need is a new bushing instead of a clutch plate. Great vid

Pedal fell to the floor in a home depot parking lot. This video helped diagnose the problem. I put some small zip ties on the shaft to hold it in place until the OEM bushing arrives. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for this video. My 94 f-150 popped off the other day and was relieved to find this was all that was wrong and not something expensive which I can't afford. A lot of videos showing the "helm fix" , but yours the only one showing the oem. easy fix. Will just buy a couple of bushings and hopefully be good to go.

Thank you so much for this video!!! My '97 F-250 has a terrible time getting into 1st and R and I just noticed my aftermarket bushing is broken. I'm ordering an OEM one right now. I was worried I had bad syncros, master/slave cylinder, etc. This is the cheapest fix I could have asked for! :-)

You should probably clean up that post. All that rust on there will eat the bushing up more quickly. Calling my transmission man to see if there's a better fix (or part). Thanks.

The issue is the aftermarket bushing don't fit either. i've replaced them and the same issue happens again. Even the stock bushings don't fit. Best permanent fix is to replace the rod with a bolt and bolt the cylinder rod to the pedal.

I wonder how many accidents have occurred with this problem. The NHTSA should issue a recall. As a safety feature I'm installing a wire around the rod and looping it to the pedal lever. Thanks!

So do you have a link for the factory bushing? Because I've replaced it twice and it keeps popping off and it's starting to piss me off
@TattsForLife2 жыл бұрын
I do not, but any ford dealer ship should be able to get the factory bushing

My 95 F350 pedal went to the floor the other day and upon further examination the bushing that connects to the master cylinder it's plastic and it broke the rod off the master cylinder about halfway down do I have to replace the whole master cylinder or can I just replace that rod and bushing?
@TattsForLife2 жыл бұрын
depends on the style of master, im not sure what style the masters are on the f350s

Check the bushing of the rod itself, that's what mine did and the bushing was bad. Mine was so bad I had to weld a sced 40 pipe as a new bushing cos it wallered out the hole to bad
