Followed your video and it went flawlessly. Shade Tree mechanic, no lift, on the ground with jack stands and a floor jack. Tranny was out in 3 hours, flywheel resurfaced in a day and back together in the next day. Thank you for this, it was a huge help....mostly with the electrical connections and the engine cradle. I did drop it as it was just easier than trying to make that gap. Great video, detail and instructions. Thanks....2 thumbs up!!

Really great video. Have a 2013 Elantra GT with 210K miles on the original clutch. Has been a true gem of a car with < $100 in non maintenance parts total in over 11 years. Tries, brakes, fluids, and that's it. Clutch is still working fine, but just feels like it needs replacing as the engagement is a bit higher as well. Also a shade tree mechanic and have done many prior clutches in the past. Thank you for the wonderful guide, and super helpful bolt head sizes when describing. So much appreciated and subscriber as well.

Hey man I’ve got the same issue with my transmission. Nobody makes a repair kit. Did you overcome that issue? It’s not excessive grooving like in the video but it’s definitely enough to catch attention. Thank you👍🏼

I pulled the axles, made it easier. pulled upper wire harness across back of engine, made it easier. car on jack stands, then used hydraulic lift table for the subframe. unbolted the tranny to frame mount from the tranny, 4 bolts, instead of separating mount. allowed it to drop straight down with no interference on body frame. new/used unit had some light damage to the throw out bearing tube, was able smooth them out. How did you deal with the severe grooves???? Great video, thank you!

no, removed the subframe first, then the tranny. My point was that it is easier to remove the tranny mount from the tranny.

sub frame is pretty easy to remove... no big deal...

I'm hoping you might be able to give me some advice on my 2010 touring the shifter Acts like the cable is loose but everything else is moving even when the car is running it will shift without the clutch being depressed no grinding noise but when it happened it made like a little breaking noise like I snapped something I just got new pressure plate and master cylinder now it seems like the cable broke but I'm old school I don't really know about front will drive? anything you can tell me please do thank you

I had my clutch replaced on my elantra now my shift knob is off center, more towards the right making it very hard to get into 5th gear...do you have any ideas how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance

Your shift cable bracket is likely misaligned. Or both cables may not be fully seating in the bracket on the trans

I think the whole subframe drop makes it more extensive, but for transversal engines is a bit more extensive than longitudinal, generally speaking.
