My stock Vittacci Solana 50cc 139qmb now hits 54MPH New Top speed with a Bando Belt made in Japan. My old top speed was 49mph. I'm watching your video because I would like to upgrade my cvt to prepare for the 80cc big bore kit.

You should watch my “guide to upgrading a moped” video your going to want to tune your CVT around your power AFTER a BBK for the best results to get exactly what you want out of your bike without having to re tune it. Tune your bike around the power that it has, that’s the best recommendation 👌

Definitely enjoy watching and learning as I fumble through my first two wheeler 😭 only a few weeks in and spent a small fortune just on bike, helmet, locks, cover, gps, and a few minor upgrades so far- variator, belt, sliders, carb, jet kit and air filter. My son's 50cc (52mm bbk and a laundry list of other parts) scooter hits 59mph with the stock clutch springs and stock contra spring. I just bought some red springs to replace everything. Looking forward to see what it can do now!

With a higher Contra Spring you’re going to lose TopSpeed not much but a little bit but the clutch springs will not affect anything but takeoff, with a true 100cc 52mm head that sounds about right hell yeah, You’re going to love the takeoff speed with those high rpm clutch springs But expect more belt wear and tear definitely will but nothing too dramatic

@@davidhofinger4927 I'm not worried about losing any top end. We have an 89mm variator, 2.88 final drive that replaced the stock 3.40, dr pulley sliders that open the variator more to push the belt higher up the variator, and a long case 50cc with the larger 12" rims and tires. Below is the build that hit 59mph with Waze for verification: 89mm variator 5 gram dr pulley sliders stock crap chinese belt (slips a lot) glixal 52mm bbk, 52mm head, a9 camshaft 64mm rocker arms 24mm 150cc carb and intake boot with 30 pilot and 118 main jets cone air filter NGK CR7HIX Iridium spark plug orange coli blue cdi 17/49 (2.88) final drive straight through muffler replaced all lights with led lights to reduce strain on electrical system to aid in a better spark and safety to see and be seen We have since replaced the crap chinese belt with a glixal kevlar belt. The variator weights are 3x7 and 3x11. The crap belt slipped so much that the heavier weights were needed to keep the rpm's down. We didn't realize the belt was slipping so bad until we put the better belt on. Currently planning to use only 3x11 gram sliders to see how it rides before getting more weights. As long as we hit 65 mph and the rpm's are between 7500 and 8000, we are happy. Once we added the better belt and still had the 3x7 and 3x11 sliders, the rpm's dropped too far and my son could only hit 50mph.

Bigger carburetor with bigger fuel jets and a straight intake filter Open aftermarket exhaust Transmission has a variator, Rollers, Kevlar belt, Contra spring, NCY clutch bell, Then these clutch springs. 49/17 Tall gears, Michelin S1 tires, Carburetor and transmission has been tuned heavily. Those clutch springs don’t affect top speed but takeoff speed. The stiffer the springs, The higher RPM launch you get from a dead stop. I just so happened to pull the highest speed I have yet when I did this. If you were doing a lot of stopping and going I would not recommend going past 1000 pound springs so you can barely twist the throttle and leave instead of revving it up and then leaving like I do now, For me it’s a blast and I get off the line really quick but for constant stop and go traffic I would not think it would be too fun that’s just my input my man, thank you though, there’s more to come 👍

Yeah but those performance clutches already assembled come with red 2000lb & a red 2000lb contra spring. WAY too high for mostly any application. Actually the video right before this is when I did install the smallest increment of heavier rollers I went from 5.0 to 5.5’s End it negatively affected my bike both in Acceleration and top speed. I’ve done heavier rollers than that before and it was absolutely horrible. This is due to my gear ratio so my CVT Simply does not like heavier rollers. Your bike could be different though it doesn’t hurt to try I would go up in smallest increments at a time and run numbers to compare

It’s just a good idea for better off the line and accelerating performance. Yes, and with these Chinese bikes if you have one, cheap too Outside of the tools to do it yourself But no you do not “need” to install a short ramp variator or lighter/heavier rollers/sliders Again, It’s a good idea to do each individual upgrade to your transmission one at a time to achieve the best possible performance you can keep achieving greater and greater performance with each upgrade. Sometimes you will get less performance though, and that’s why you just go back to what you had originally do each thing individually one at a time to achieve perfect harmony.
