You did a great job organizing! One thing: the slanted organizer you have your markers or pens in behind your table- all markers and pens should be put in so the nib side is down. Otherwise the ink is going to go to the wrong end. If you have ink pads, they should be put upside down so the ink stays at the top of the pad. I am a stamper, so have learned this over the years. Great videos!

We live in Missouri now, but we want to move to Michigan hopefully next year. We both work remotely so we have the freedom to move anywhere, which give us almost too many options lol but Michigan fit most of iur wishlist. We moved to Missouri 6 years ago from Florida after only visiting twice so we want to do more on the ground research into the area first. We've been taking long weekend trips as often as we can to see different areas and have toured a couple homes so far. Good luck with your search! I hope you enjoy moving back to Illinois!

Love the organizers so much. So satisfying! Another way to utilize the closet rail for craft storage is putting like items in big zip lock bags with hangers (search PVC hanger bag). It's good for some odd shaped stuff that can get lost when put away and good to see at a glance because it's in clear storage.

Organization is a never ending battle for me. I, too, am a vusyal person, so things need to be in sight. I organize, then a few months later, it looks disastrous, cuz, you know, I'll put this here, until "I have time to decide what to do with it" and that just keeps happening, to the point, the organization no longer works, because what I thought would work, doesn't and now I have more things to organize - reorganize!!! AUUUUGH!!! Have a blessed day!! xxoo

Hello from central Illinois 💜
@sharonknorr1106Ай бұрын
So I think you are a Bee at heart who has been trying to be a Cricket - see Clutterbug, which is an organizing vlog, if you're not familiar with Cass already. On the house thing. We left our long-time home in a very affordable part of central NY to move to Colorado to live with our daughter and her partner. We have very little family and only a few friends left in NY, so kind of the opposite of you. However, it is so expensive here, we would not be able to afford it if our daughter hadn't scooped up this foreclosure over a decade ago at a decent price - it has more than tripled in value, but everything else is also super-expensive, so selling doesn't really get us anywhere close to comparable in this area. Our son and his wife live in the Toluca Lake neighborhood in Burbank. He has a good job at NBC/Universal and makes what I would consider pretty good money, but that said, they stay in their little apartment because, as you pointed out, the market, either rental or sales, is so ridiculously high in so many places in Cali, moving is just not an option at this point. They went through multiple bidding wars, for a rental not even to buy, before they got the place they have been in for some years now. My husband grew up in Peoria and our son went to the University of Chicago and then lived in the Windy City for about a dozen years afterwards, so pretty familiar with the state and if you have friends and family there, seems like a no-brainer, as nice as Cali can be in many ways. Honestly, if our daughter wasn't here, we would be back in NY where the cost-of-living is reasonable compared to Colorado and there is plenty of rain most of the time and no wildfires, which we have evacuated from and it is something we constantly worry about, it is so dry and and not likely to get better. We are in the foothills of the Rockies and the air quality is much worse than what it was in NY, which is shocking and depressing. Anyways, sorry so long, but I think you are wise to look at where you are in your lives, what your goals are for the future and where you think that will all come together best. As a retired old lady, I can say that putting money away for the future is super important - time goes by so much more quickly than you ever think it will and then you are on a fixed budget and wondering if your savings and investments will last as long as you do. Anyways, good luck in your search for new housing and I think you will be very happy in Illinois. Great video today, you did well in your organizing endeavors.

It seems like most houses are being bought and flipped and listed again months later, we've had a handful in our neighborhood go through it. I'm not surprised they painted everything white too, it's what they all do. I'm curious how much more they listed than what they bought it for and what they touched up other than the paint.
