They lived in that back apartment. (Above the garage) I know this because Ray made a video himself & went back there & up the stairs & knocked on the door himself. So “all over the world that.” Long live Jim Morrison. Here’s Rays video kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4TOnZ-BlqZrmqc

Thanks for the groovy video. I was there many times in the 80's an 90's. My last time just happened to be at Venice Beach on Thanksgiving Day in 2000. Looks like the yuppies are trying to screw up more history

The Night is young, & full of rest, I can't describe the way she's dress'd, She'll pander to some strange requests, Anything that you suggest, Anything to please her guest.. (I love the dubbel meaning of some of Morrison's poems/lyrics. Like PANDER, I had to look it up in the dictionary, (for I'm Dutch) LUV it. ;-)

Baron Saturday : Just looked it up and as a former student in English ( I'm going to go back to college btw...), and having read / studied Morrison's poems ( some of them ). I can't believe I had never seen this word! I love you for that! Thank you so much ☺️ Greetings from France 💖✨😘

It doesn't sound like you meant "Jim Manzarek" to me. You were saying Jim, Manzarek (instead of Ray) anyway you don't need to apologize.

My friend owns the house on the north corner of Frasier. He bought it in 1965 for $25K. He's an old man now. He was just offered 7 million for it.

He lives in that upstairs loft and rents the bottom out. Last time I talked to him he was getting 10 grand a month.

Great, & thorough vid....the same thing happened to rent in NYC where cheap living brought in people from all over & there was an explosion of creativity , & the new, & innovation, in art & music....then, the poverty stricken artists were priced out when the area (greenwich village) became all for rich people & trust fund babies only, & art died...i would however point to both venice & nyc as being areas, states & cities, run by the left...the crazy rent prices really dont happen as badly in the more conservative areas of the country...lastly, its this boomer, hippie generation that has really made a mess of things these last decades as theyve taken power....its all really pretty damn pathetic

Actually, that part of Santa Monica in 1965 was a slum.

Frazier in Ocean Park, is part of Santa Monica, not Venice Beach. Venice is a few blocks to the south.

@clyde beck Narrator makes several errors. He refers to Jim as Jim Manzarek. He says 1965 was the summer of free love. He says President Johnson was totally responsible for bombing North Viet Nam. Should I keep going? Jim Morrison - that was his name - would be appalled by the narrator’s errors. He was a college graduate who had written term papers.

How can you take us to the correct homes if you can’t even pronounce Ray’s last name nor the names of the streets correctly? You pronounced Neilson Way, Niacin Way. Lmao
