Information for foreigners. This is a common way we settle divorce in Australia, the Husband's family Kangaroo will fight the Wife's family Kangaroo for ownership of the house upon separation. Rest of the process is pretty similar to USA procedures.

@@louise_rose Not as a weapon. Kangaroos and wallabies have evolved over hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of years. They never evolved to need a tail as a weapon, it's mainly for balance when leaping and they use them to help them walk. Our version of the coyote, the dingo, is the top land predator and they've only been here for around 8000 years.

@@DaveDownunda8888 I was thinking of the Thylacine ("Tasmanian wolf") too, as a counterpart to the coyote, native to the continent, but I see it went extinct in the 20th century. (In Swedish, my native language, it's known as the "sack wolf" or marsupial wolf) :)

I know from many zoologists that kangaroos' legs are very powerful and can do serious damage to a human, but it's amazing to see how GRACEFUL them being able to balance on their tails makes their movements seem. It really changes the perception of how hard they're fighting and how much damage they can cause. Amazing.

@miles20579 жыл бұрын
No, this is not a common occurrence especially in the capital cities. You will start to spot them at the outer fringes of the cities, bushland and around small towns. They look cute but beware, they are very strong, their legs can kill you with their kicks and their arms and paws could severely scratch you and even kill you. Stay away from them, otherwise they aren't a dangerous animal, they will normally want to get away from you unless they're distressed and then they'll attack as mentioned. The Red kangaroos from the outback/deserts are bigger and stronger and are more wild, be a lot more careful around them too. You never see them around cities or bush land, they're more inland kangaroos. They can be very big and tall, the ones in this video would be close to 6 foot tall and kan grow to over 2 meters, well over 6 to 7 feet tall.

This is probably my all-time favorite KZbin video. The choice of music to go along with it? Both priceless and brilliant. Thanks for this!
