Definitely sending you a trans for a rebuild and cryo/coating job. I absolutely love the attention to detail. Per your other tear down video I’m comfortable with tearing it down and just sending you the center housing with gearset inside to shed some weight for shipping.

Thanks for the great info and your efforts to keep these old trans alive. I learnt alot about their construction from your videos. One thing I would like to understand but never found in your videos nor in the manuals is if it is ok to change only gears let's say on the output shaft but leave the counter shaft intact? The reason I'm asking is that I'm trying to rebiuld a T50 gearbox using spares from a used T40. I assume that the gears are better to replace in pairs, but since the counter shaft cannot be disassembled, that's not always possible. So should I use gears on the output shaft only from T50 with T50 counter shaft, or maybe I can use the T40 ouuput shaft with T50 counter shaft adding only the 5th gear assembly?

Thanks for the great info. Does a T50 with a TRD gear set from factory has any identifying marks on the casing so as to distinguish it from the other T50's?

What is the effect of this treatment in general? I know it reduces friction. But is it noticeable? Less of a drivetrain loss i figure but how much though?
