I have a question @09:50 when the pump is blocked it should show the spectrum of ground-state species but in this case, the spectrum goes away altogether. Why?

They are not measured, but you know the delay based on the total change in length of the delay line, from which you know what time the it takes for light to go through (given that the speed of light is constant and in aire roughly equal to that in air with little dispersion).
