I got one these, and I love it. It’s beautiful, sounds good, very comfortable. It’s a very versatile guitar, very simple and effective. I highly recommend it.

I went to CME and played the black/silver Thinline. It’s honestly even better then it comes off in this video (and they sound great in the video, BTW). Stayed in tune, felt fantastic, super light, and the pickups sounded way better in person. Much fuller, more dynamic. It was hard to put down. I enjoyed it as much as I enjoy my American Pro Tele.

What about the blonde one? Does it goes closer to the telecaster ri 52 than the black one?
@mattoneill39092 жыл бұрын
@@chaskiandcie I couldn’t decide which one I liked better. The black, bound Thinline is more unique. The butterscotch blonde totally has a great ‘52 blackguard vibe that just happens to be a Thinline. It’s a coin flip, honestly. I tried them out months ago, have been back to CME a couple of times since and have tried them again, and I still can’t tell which one I like better.
@mattoneill39092 жыл бұрын
That being said, the Butterscotch blonde is heavily over-glossed, which is my one general criticism of the classic vibe line. But, if you were so inclined, you could sand it back a bit.
@chaskiandcie2 жыл бұрын
@@mattoneill3909 Ok, so the blonde sounds more organic/vintage than the black one, because of the maple neck? Speaking of necks, is it still enjoyable to play it for a player that use to play on big necks ans small frets like me? Yeah, at first I wanted a nice look, but I already have a rosewood thinline (vintage modified in shoreline gold), and I think I'm not a big fan of thinlines. Maybe I'll give a second chance on thinlines with these ones =) Thanks a lot for your answers, it really helps

These look rad! And don’t change out the CV pickups. They sound the stuff.

It's more expensive because of the pickguard? What about the double bound body? I'm guessing that's why they're more money...

It's Clairity by Jimmy Eat World! They must have looked up who else plays these guitars, because Jim Adkins' signature fender is a thinline. His uses p90 style pickups though.

wake me up when you do some more Lefty special runs like those matching headstock offsets from a few years ago.

I bought mine from Andertons because they had a much better price and CME wouldn't match it. Even with shipping from England it was cheaper than CME.

I agree with Jacob, it's compliance with no science. When the guy plays solo with NO mask where's the camera man! But a great review all the same showing the wide gamut of sounds available. Well done!

I guess I don't understand why people are so bothered by it. It doesn't change the content or quality of the video at all. Not like the mask is over the amp.

Looked up the natural one, and it looks like the people at the factory are skimping on the neck stain. Almost looks white compared to the gorgeous one in the video.

The blonde thinline is just drowning in urethane poly all over and I think everyone is kind of sick of the tinted neck thing. My biggest gripe with the Squiers. Why not put a roasted maple neck on them like the MusicMan company did with their "budget" line? Fender OWNS MusicMan dont they?? Come on guys, it's not that hard??

No. Fender does not own MusicMan and never has. Ernie Ball has owned MM for a long while now. Leo Fender had a role at MM, but long after he had left Fender.
