There was a theorized skip in Good Egg 2 that could use weird pull star physics to skip from the first planet to the last. A TAS managed to get a lot of height with it, but the creator showed another clip with an infinite jump cheat that shows how completely infeasible it was. The required extra height to escape the gravity of the planet (and not die) would be equivalent to two full backflips. I can't seem to find the video, but if I do, I'll definitely show it to you. It's really sad that the third star in the game just destroys the run. I absolutely loved your format though, not showing the run killer until the very end. I hate the videos that just stop after the first level that makes the run impossible. Amazing video.

He therefore did this for the twist at the end with the tutorial and good egg 2

*Spoilers Below* A story of hardships, triumph, and the eventual fall we face when flying too close to the sun. This video was brilliant, and I'm glad you looked into sources such as speedruns and such. Your voice and speech sounds a bit strained, but I can understand as talking for videos can be difficult, so it's really no biggie. There is a TAS I haven't completely watched. It's by Mr. The Justin GAME that collects 61 stars and is "0 Starbits", unfortunately from what I can see they collect all the ones you mention and more, and just shoot them away, making it impossible to take any tips from. So until any discoveries can be made, we are stuck at 106 Starbits%. And I'll be honest, I really hope someone can make a TAS based off this video. Great work, man.

Well the Mario Galaxy speedrunning community is happy to say, using a technique called “Crystal Floating” it has been recently discovered you can float from the very first planet in Good Egg Galaxy all the way to the star and skip the required 100 star bits. Now it’s just the 5 absolutely required to get before being able to enter the stage.
@BeALight-i3z5 жыл бұрын
You know, this seems fitting, in a way. You fed one hungry Luma, one regular Luma, and had one left over for yourself. In the storybook, there’s a whole chapter dedicated to the starbits and how important and special they are to both the Luma’s and Rosalina. Those starbits you were forced to collect are a reminder about what this game is really about.

it's literally the same low-tier bait as the other " can you X without Y !? watch my 30 minutes video to find out, probably not because I used an emulator and savestates! "
@teaartist64556 жыл бұрын
@@TemmiePlays Well, at least it has some effort put into it and is an interesting approach to making a game more challenging so I'd not really consider it low-tier clickbait. It's a bit clickbaity, sure, but definitely a big step up from "OMG see what THIS sea lion has DONE! It looked like it would get DEVOURED but THEN...!!11!!!", all complete with stolen material from some guy that just likes filming the outside world. Still, not something I'd watch just on it's own, while drawing it's actually okay.

I kind of hate the whole “we’ll talk about this star later” thing. Like you claim it’s for pacing when in reality it throws off the pace dramatically
@ivannatinkle81964 жыл бұрын
If it went like that, the video wouldn't even be 5 minutes long

I actually disagree. I think it suits the video much better. going chronologically would have ruined the feeling.
@yawningabyss6814 жыл бұрын
Yeah it ruins the pace by it just being "this was easy" and "we'll talk about it later" for the first half until he actualy gets to go in depth, it unbalances the video to have the first part be boring and the second part have everything that's interesting. It would have helped to have the in depth stuff talked about chronologically between the easy stuff which would make the pace feel a lot better and not front load all the boring stuff. Though aparently some people don't have a problem with it so idk.

I remember Honey Hive's first star. I actually didn't realize where you were supposed to go and seriously tried to get the star by climbing the trees. It was painful and I commend your patience.

33:19 “MOST speedrunners”?! Either way, unless I’m mistaken, this was the video that started it all for your challenge runs. Now you’re over 2/3 of the way to 1 million subs. You’ve gotten a lot better in terms of footage, audio, and writing quality, but your earlier works have this charm to them that makes them impossible to dislike, at least for me. Keep up the great work!

The “later” bits actually sort of killed the pacing. Pacing isn’t about maintaining a constant pace for the entire time, it’s about spacing out long and short sections. You have to run to feel how much better the air tastes.
@rafam73504 жыл бұрын
Loved the way you put structure in your videos. Because of this and the fact that you put the necessary lengh for good pacing, I think that’s the best channel for this type of challenge, honestly

Holy fuck, that's heartbreaking. I attempted this a long, long time ago and completely ignored mission 3 and the tutorial. I gave up after passing Bouldergeist. But the fact that you got so close is admirable. I was annoyed at your format and dillydallying of explanations at first, but my heart goes out to you for getting so damn close.
